MeekI was very prejudiced against this sow, and after watching an episodeI'm now sure I was right. Characters that are not likable, that show a exaggerated intensity thatthe original show has not.Whitaker is an inconsistent actor, and this role is one of the Lowones, he's the classic boss, way too bossy, A little bit a bully, thatsounds like he suffers of a chronic obstructive Lung disease, everyorder he gives is out of breath.Garofalo, who should be at least twice as good as she is, seems alwaysangry and all other characters are washed out, just a bunch of shadowswith lame lines. At first I thought it will over shadow first one/the original but thecharacters are not well developed, the stories are not strong orinteresting. This is just a meek copy of a great Show, proof that Chemistry amongactors/characters is a rare thing that can't be imitated even withOscar Winners. |

LOVE(d) the ShowWe used to LOVE Criminal Minds until they decided to bring on politicalactivist Janeane Garofalo. We loved how each "team" member actuallyloved the others. As though they were family. The always put the otherteam member ahead of themselves. What a great concept that was. It alsotaught us what TO DO and what NOT to do (to stay safe). Valuableinformation for sure. But alas, they brought Janeane on and we had towalk away. I just wish Hollywood would just DO what they're paid to do,ACT. I don't care where they stand on this issue or that issue. But IDO care when they begin airing their racist views to any talking headwho will give them air time. CRIMINAL MINDS. Too bad. It WAS a greatshow !!! |

Needs Work - and Script - and CastI gave the show enough chances. The '3 star' rating is down to '0' andany hope of improvement has dwindled to nothing. What happened to theFBI – why is Whitaker the only one with answers? It almost seems likethe only reason the other agents are there, is to say stuff like, 'WOW,you are too smart' – and then go wandering off bumping into walls ortripping over air. What a joke? I know the FBI is smarter than what isportrayed on this show. And talk about team…communicate maybe? There isno team cohesion, and for that matter, no flow to the show either. Imean - it seems like Whitaker walks into a meeting room and the rest ofthe crew act like newborn baby chicks waiting to get a piece of somepre-chewed worm from momma bird. After the team congratulates Whitakerfor being too smart, they wander around – kind of aimlessly – and beginthe wait. Oops – there is one who does not need to wait. One who needsno direction or instruction. There is one who is never wrong (sited onlast week's show) - and that would be the character played by JeanineGarafalo. She is one of the most painful characters on TV. Talk about apermanent mood swing! That is one girl full of anger and hate.Previously I did try to be nice to the show. I thought I saw a glimmerof light shimmering through the new TV series fog. I wished there wassome hope for the show – but there seems to be none. Now it is only arace to the edge of the cliff between the original Criminal Minds andthis one, and I feel this one will find the bottom of the chasm first.I do not know what possessed the producers and directors to hire such apolitically charged hot potato as Garafalo, but she does provide somecover. When the show fails – she only needs to pound her chest andblame Bush and then – magically - all problems go away. |

Zero chance of a second seasonI was looking forward to this show for months, I assumed with ForrestWhitaker at the helm then the producers meant business and intended togive us a real alternative to criminal minds. How wrong i was !!!! Thisshow is at best mediocre, The casting is all wrong..In fact! Thecasting director should never work again. This show is bad beyond badand so disappointing. As great an actor as Forrest Whittaker is he isso unbelievable in this role, As for the rest of the cast , Why oh why???? This was a great opportunity for a show and they have not onlymessed it up then have messed it up beyond all realms of messing up. Ifthere is an award for the worst ever put together show then this showwould sweep the awards. I am so disappointed as i had so much hope andi even gave it a chance, The first couple of episodes were terrible buti thought it may get better! , I have now completed watching episode 5and i realise that its never going to get any better. In summary, Poorwriting and very poor casting = very poor show, Hell, They could add AlPacino and Sean Penn to the next episode and its never going to savethis dead duck. What a waste!!! Shame on the People responsible. |

Wonderful...Don't Hate the Player....Hate the GameI loved episodes so far. It's may not show character development yet,but if it does have a second season I sure the writers will write itin. The actors and actresses show great emotions...especially ForestWhitaker he takes my breath away and he developed his character to showgreat leadership and emotion. I've cried at a majority of the episodesthat have been released so far. Yeah I'm emotional person so what! The action scenes are amazing, it makes me feel like I'm there withthem. I hope that everyone give it shot and not judge it based on theoriginal because its not supposed to be like the original...its likethe old saying lightening doesn't hit the same place twice. |

Give it a chanceI hope you give this show a chance. My husband and I have watched everyepisode of the original Criminal Minds since Episode 1 and absolutelylove it. When the Suspect Behavior team was on last season, we kind ofhoped they would start their own show. We were extremely disappointedwith the first episode, but decided to give it a chance. I'm so glad wedid. In our opinion, each episode has gotten better, and we now havetwo shows on Wednesday night to look forward to.I'm not saying there aren't little things that still bother us, but forthe most part we have started to really enjoy it. My biggest concernstemmed from the fact that the show seemed rushed, didn't flow well, and the cast didn't seem to have a rhythm, but it's gotten much better, and I truly like the characters. |

Soooo DisappointingBefore I get into my gung ho mode....Let me just say that I have waiteda few episodes before providing this review, for the only reason that Ibelieve a new TV show needs a chance to 'shine'! Unfortunately, I haveseen shinier dog sh@ts when compared to this TV series, and I reallycant understand why its gone so wrong. It has two (at least) greatactors playing big roles, and some big story lines, but in both casesthey don't deliver. In the last example, we have the case of a killer, killing peoplebecause he wants to scalp their face to 'fix' his daughter who has beendisfigured. Now aside from the fact we find out in the last 10 minuteswhy he's doing this, which for me is a major part of a plot, the startis totally unbelievable, I don't want to spoil it, but I will statethat a war veteran, used to outdoor terrain in major conflictedcountries is apprehended by this murderer......When the final plotunfolds, do as I did and ask yourself, how does that happen?!? Thataside, why does a 'red team' get involved in serial killings that wouldnormally be investigated by the 'Criminal Minds' team?? Im lost withthis series, not because I don't understand 'criminal minds', because Ido (I am in fact a psychologist!), im lost because the writers have noidea what they're doing and seem to think the most ridiculous of plotlines can be forgotten by a lovely ending!!! For me, this feels like anattempt to make money out of a franchise, which I get, but in thiscase, don't agree with.I have now decided to give up on this series, because it makes me thinkbad of criminal minds, which is still fantastic and still pulling ingreat plots/stories.....I only wish they had a crossover and the wholeof suspect behaviour are killed off because they are serial killingagents, that might make me watch an episode, though only because myfave actors from CM are in it!!! Do yourself a favour, don't watch thisseries unless you want a channel hopping show to pass the time!!! |

Not understanding the hatred......Personally, I find the show quite good. I do have a few issues, however. Forest Whitaker is a wonderful actor, but not as a lead rolein a television series. He's extremely distracting - and it's notbecause of the eye. It's his voice. He constantly sounds like he's outof breath...ran a marathon to get to the scene. His sentence structureis also annoying. He pauses in odd places and the whole dialog soundsforced. I was excited when I heard he was going to be on the show, butnow...he's just annoying! There's too much time spent on him and notthe rest of the team, which doesn't make a balanced show. I realizeit's early though, so hopefully, the characters will flesh out more aswe go along.Secondly, Janeane Garofalo - I don't understand the hatred of the womanand the character. I personally love her. I think she's still trying tofind her feet with the character, but she's got the potential of beingquite amusing...of being the one person on the team who will just sayexactly what she thinks when she thinks it. I really like her and I'mwilling to give her a chance to settle in the role.As for the rest of the team, I like all of them. I'd like to see moreabout Prophet's past - Michael Kelly makes Prophet such a quiet, interesting character. Beau Garret is perfect for the role of Gina -she's got that no nonsense look about her - hair stuffed in a ponytail, little makeup. She really sells Gina as the real deal. And lastly, Matt Ryan as Mick Rawson. At first, I was put off because aBrit joining the FBI seemed like something created just for the show. Iadmit my ignorance in this matter - I didn't even know British citizenscould join the FBI...although maybe he's a naturalized citizen. I don'tknow, but I have to say I really, really, really like the character. He's cocky, cheeky and interesting. He's also gorgeous, which doesn'thurt. His accent isn't hard for me to understand, but I've heard lotsof Irish, Scottish and British. So, Mick is a nice all around packagefor me.Poor Garcia...she just seems like a fill in...she's there so theviewers have someone they know and love and the producers knew thatthose fans will follow her to a new show. I'd like to see her actuallyinteract with the team, not just via communication equipment. So, I give the show an 7 out of 10 and hope that it just keeps gettingbetter and better. Thanks for listening!!Frost |

Like the Original... on Fast ForwardWatching this is like watching the original Criminal Minds on fastforward. Everything moves at warp speed. One of the things I likedabout the original--the science--is totally absent. The worst aspect is the ridiculous conclusions the characters jump to,which since this is TV are never wrong. Just because someone putseyeballs on top of a stack of newspapers isn't a good enough reason toassume that one lousy obituary in that issue is relevant. "Oh, this guyhad surgery at the same hospital three weeks ago and he died from aStaph infection. These cases have to be connected!" Give me a break. Not everyone who watches is seven years old.Forest Whitaker's acting and dialogue are wooden and dull. Hischaracter has no character. What the heck is he supposed to be? The show is somewhat entertaining in its own right, but it can't hold acandle to the original Criminal Minds. |

Disappointing to say the leastI'm not sure why they made this show. There really isn't anything thatI can see to distinguish their purpose from the original. Are therereally red cells in the FBI? Is this sort of Delta Force BAU? A RapidDeployment BAU? Huh? Whitaker has done and can do much better than thejob he does here. At times he seems totally disinterested. At othertimes he just looks like a slob.Garofalo just looks like an angry toad and really can't act.Why is there an Irish (I guess Matt Ryan is Welsh) guy on the team?Hearing the accent is disorienting. I assume there is no reason anaturalized citizen couldn't be in the FBI but it seems out of place.Beau Garrett seems to be largely eye candy - I'm not opposed to thatbut she doesn't seem to have much of a role.I know that it's trying to find it's feet. Whitaker gives the show somehope since he can be quite a good actor but there doesn't seem to muchof a reason for this to exist next to the original. |

Quite a letdown.I watched this first episode with some hopeful anticipation. The storywas stereotypical of this type of show....a kidnapped child, a pervertand the "heros". We have seen this plot so many times on Law and Orderspin-offs and the ending was also to be expected. In case anyone hasn'twatched it yet, I will not reveal the ending. I was reallydisappointed. This spin-off doesn't have the pizazz of the original. While Forest Whittaker is an excellent actor - this part isn't for him.In fact the entire cast was pretty bad. Apart from Penelope, they don'tseem to have the professionalism, intelligence or looks that theircounterparts do in Criminal Minds. I hate to be so negative, but theirappearance, clothing, speaking style etc.....just doesn't work. AnEnglish accent is totally out of character for the FBI. Iwill not watchit again. It was indeed a flop. |

Not a "true" criminal mindsI was very disappointed with the first episode of this show and itseems this will be what show is about, a lesser version of trueCriminal Minds. Not a single character of this show is convincing, Forrest Whitaker hasseen far better roles then this one, as a team leader he is weak, notall too likable. Basically, this show is a copy of the real CriminalMinds, only far, far worse, actually it can't stand in the samesentence with the original show. Matt Ryan character, for example, youbasically couldn't understand what the guy is saying. In all honesty, I would be very surprised if this show survives thefirst season, it just isn't worth it. |

Extremely Poor Excuse for a Television ShowThis series is a great disappointment from a previously enjoyedfranchise; that being Criminal Minds. The acting is lacklustre, theplots appear to aim for a deeper depravity and violence from thatdetailed in Criminal Minds. The plot resolutions seem to require theactors to provide explanatory monologues to justify the thoughtprocesses scripted. The lead actor displays a constantly stunned lookand mumbles through his lines. Thanks goodness for our pvr which we useto back up and listen to try to understand what he, and other castmembers, has said. Garcia is totally wasted on this show, with thequick flashes to her when information is required and no personalinteraction. The impression given is that another series was required, quickly, and this show was thrown together with whomever was available, and tied to Criminal Minds' coattails to "guarantee" some degree ofsuccess. Oh, well, good try. |

I like the original but will not watch this spin-offI am a fan of the original Criminal Minds but have found this spin offa huge disappointment. I have tried to stomach Garofalo up until now. Inot only dislike her as an individual, but her acting is awful as well. The last episode on Christian Terrorism was just too political andoffensive and was the last straw. I wonder if this show will ever do anepisode on Islamic terrorism.... I seriously doubt it. I refuse to watch this show anymore, at least until Garofalo isremoved. She is too polarizing and never should have been given a rolein this series if the producers wanted to appeal to all potentialviewers. |

DisappointingI must say I am not one of those who admired Forest Withaker in thefirst place, but I always look at every new series or movie with neweyes, giving everyone a new chance; as I have experienced many timesthat actors I normally don't like, suddenly gives a great performance.-However, this is not the case with Forest in Suspect Behaviour; Thecharacter he plays is simply very stressful, and annoying: he talks ina way that is difficult to follow, sort of throws you out of yourconcentration, demanding to much focus just to simply understand him,and requiring a lot of patience that takes away the opportunity toenjoy the story and everything else that is going on. He demands tomuch, simply but, and is not believable as an agent. The show would memediocre/OK if his character was more easygoing, and in tune with hisenvironment. -Everything would be different, if he had a completelydifferent body language, and spoke with normal rhythm. So.. the personwho probably was suppose to draw the most viewers, I'm guessing will bethe one who pushes them away instead. Either he goes, or has a completemakeover, or the show will be short-lived; that is my guess, at least!Criminal Minds original is probably the most believable, ingenious showever made in its category; a tough act to follow! |

The Laidback Criminal MindsWhatever it is, don't be expecting the characters to jump off withcolorful personalities and lovable quirks. Suspect Behavior is whatyou'd call a toned-down version of Criminal Minds added with a splotchof depression and coffee stains. It's darker, more monotonous and well, drab. But it's not that bad, not at all.I heard people complaining about the cast, but I don't see the problem. They work out fine, if only you give some time to watch a few episodes.Whithaker's character as Cooper gets a little more interesting witheach episode, and he's different from the normal profiler, which I mustsay, is kinda intriguing. All the characters have a problem, or ahistory, but the show takes it very slow to show you these things andthey show it in subtle ways. It all depends on whether you have thepatience to watch through this series to find out.Suspect Behavior can't really be compared to the solid Criminal Minds, and I suppose that the creators wanted to take a break and start offnew with a different style and cast. I mean, after the long, longstretch of Criminal Minds with all their twists and turns, maybeSuspect Behaviour was meant to slow things down a notch and startagain. To tell the truth, I like the moody pacing of the series, causeit's perfect to watch when you're tired of following fast-paced seriesthat you can digest in one bite. Currently, I'm just watching SuspectBehavior while working on the computer, that is, I just listen to themovie and occasionally turn to watch it.If you like Criminal Minds, chances are you'll dislike this series whenyou first watch it. But try to step back, detach from Criminal Mindsand their world, and watch Suspect Behavior as themselves. Maybe you'llfind something new and interesting that wasn't there in Criminal Minds. All in all, not such a bad series, but there's space for improvement. |

So, so disappointingCriminal Minds (the original) is probably my favorite show on TV now,so when I first saw there was going to be a spin-off, I was so excited. And then I saw the cast. I was already put off when I saw ForestWhittaker as the lead, and then I noticed Jeneane Garofalo as well, andmy suspicions for the show being a dud ramped way up. I watched, though, hoping that I would be wrong. I was, but only because Icouldn't guess just how bad it would be.Whittaker seems to slur his words a bit, making him a bit hard tounderstand, and even beyond that hasn't managed to create a credibleseeming character.Garofalo is just a seriously poor actress. She also manages to makethings seem political in a very off-putting way.Based on these two, the casting director should be fired and bannedfrom the industry. As a previous reviewer mentioned, another one of the characters isforeign with such a heavy accent that it's hard to follow what he'ssaying. And then there's the guy with the inflated bad apple given a new chancepast which also doesn't feel very believable.Garcia (a character I love in the original) seems to be part of thecast for no other reason than because the producers could tell alreadythey'd messed up with the rest of it and needed an already establishedand loved character to connect with the audience. Even this fails, though, because her scenes feel like inauthentic add-ons.We're left with one member of the team (the other girl) who feelssomewhat genuine, and unfortunately that's not enough to carry theshow.I also felt that the ultra-elite "red cells" premise was a bad idea, because it sets them up as being even better than the originalcharacters. The situations don't seem any more dire or complex thanthose for the original, so it fails at establishing even why there's aneed for a more specialized unit to deal with them, and the actors failat creating characters that even seem equal to, let alone more elite, than those in the original series. All in all, it is a thoroughly wasted opportunity to create a selfsustaining spin-off (like SVU was to Law & Order)... and because thisone will fail miserably, they likely won't ever end up trying again, let alone succeeding. |

complete garbageThe writing is.......awful. The casting of Janeane Garofalo is socompletely asinine it is beyond the pale. While Forest Whitaker is afine actor he needs to dial it down about a thousand notches. Is therean Emmy for overacting? Criminal Minds is a decent show and should askfor a "do-over" for it's spin-off. I watched the first few episodesonly because it was on after the original and it was easier thanchanging the channel. I plan to no longer do that. I will root aroundfor the remote or turn it off. Don't get me wrong....most network TVstinks, but this raises the bar. Is it the worst spin-off ever? Maybethe 80's show was worse..........no is wasn't. |
