Story Line

Plot Summary:

A collection of seven stories from the Halo Universe created by Japans most creative minds. First up is Origins a two part episode showing the expansive history of the Halo Universe and the history of the 100,000 year long franchise timeline, told through the eyes of Cortana. Second comes The Duel Taking place long before the Human-Covenant War, it tells the story of an Arbiter, Fal Chavamee, who refuses to accept the Covenant Religion. Taking a turn to the Spartan side of the story Homecoming focuses on the tragedies involving the Spartan-II recruitment in 2517, and the Spartans coming to terms with their origins. Taking a turn in tone comes Odd One Out a non-cannon parody of the Halo storyline. Prototype tells the story of a Marine who goes against his orders to destroy an advanced prototype armor and uses the suit to buy time for civilians evacuating from the planet. The Babysitter tales of the the rivalry between the Spartan-II Commandos and the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers as theyre sent to Covenant-controlled world to assassinate a Covenant Prophet. And finally The Package a two-part all CGI film follows Master Chief and an elite squad of Spartan-II super soldiers as they execute a top-secret mission to retrieve a highly valuable UNSC asset on a Covenant Assault Carrier.

NOT a game, these are stories

I'm going to try to give as spoiler-free of a review as possible.I've been apprehensive of Halo Legends since it was announced, and was nervous with the crazy Japanese getting a hold of the franchise. When a few stories were put up on Waypoint, however, my concerns were diminished. Seeing that Frankie (Frank O'Connor) had control over what was being done in Legends, it led me to give credence to what I was once doubtful of. And I've read all novels, blogs, BWUs, and played each game so much that there is little I don't know.Yes, there are quivering eyes, men with jaws too wide open, cheesy mid-action posing shots, and a couple other cliched anime items that slipped in, but if you look past these and accept them as artistic interpretation, you can see what is underneath and really appreciate the stories. Elite's losing a pair of mandibles and seeing a female elite in the context of 'the Duel' chuckling like a school girl was probably the worst moment of this entire DVD. With that said, this has given me MORE food to chew on than sinking feelings of Microsoft milking us all out of $20.-The entire episode of Origins (Part 1 & 2) are pure gold. We get our first glimpse of Forerunners, and witness the true power of the Flood, not constricted by the hardware of the 360 and polygon counts. And they are scary. This is easily the best offering of the entire DVD, and all of Cortana's monologue was written by Frankie himself. Great stuff.-Babysitter, Prototype, and Homecoming all feature similar-styled animation and actually decent storylines. There are a few canonical things that I am curious of, but I'm sure have explanations. One thing I am getting tired of is all of the suicide missions that these side stories keep telling. It's getting a little too predictable (same as in Halo Evolutions).-The Duel is a tough one. I hated the animation style when I first put it on, but as it went along, I saw what the artists were going for and really appreciated it. A very dark tone was needed, and this conveyed it perfectly. Two things to note: elites without their top pair of mandibles in certain scenes is simply artistic interpretation, and the large hunters are entirely possible (as Frankie has said in response to this criticism).-The Package is a unique one. The visuals are amazing. This is the first time we ever see Master Chief working with his Spartans as a team. Highly disappointed that you witness some Spartans (the GREATEST military minds on the battlefield) die to some pretty stupid reasons. Voice acting choice for the MC? Terrible. Overall very, very fun though.-Odd One Out is just fun. Watch it and enjoy it. Reminds me of Dragonball Z, in a good way.If you like Halo, buy it. My fiance is somewhat interested in the Halo Universe, but this gives her a chance to really appreciate what the writers of the Halo Universe have made, and we both could appreciate it.

... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot

Alright, if you like amine (some is ok, I guess), and if you half halfheartedly like the Halo franchise... then you'll probably like this. Bonus points if "Contact: Harvest" was better than the other pulp novels. If you really like the Halo story, however, Legends is not worth it. The least disappointing section rated as what I expected the worst section would preform. There were another two segments that were a distant second, one was memorable because it was so awful (Spartan 1337 runs into dinosaur problems and some school children help beat up a monkey with an exo-skeleton, which was killed by a rainbow and what appears to be a MAC round with a pilot's window, all while sounding like Evan Stone), one had some flashy CG and no heart... the rest I don't remember and I watched this 3 hours ago. I won't go into further detail about nit-picky things, but I will say that it's questionable if the producers bothered learning about the story lines which they were attempting to tell and it appears that more money was spent advertising the product three days before the street date to sucker us into buying it day one.I really wish I didn't see this because it lowered the value of the franchise for me and my friend. I apologized for how bad it was after we watched it. And during... several times.

Halo Legends Is A Legend

This series of seven stories can't be beat. I love every minute of thisseries and I still can't believe how good the finale was. The animationis amazing and the voice-overs were excellent. The lipsyching is alittle off but I don't care. The action is awesome and the "camera"angles are fantastic. The Package has amazing CGI and when the Spartansare completely covered by their armor they look real. The cartoons areincredibly detailed and so is the blood. The paintings for the duel aregreat and the energy swords look great. You need to see Halo Legends Igave it a ten out of ten and if that doesn't persuade you to see it Idon't know what will. Overall Halo Ledgends is a must see for anyonewho enjoys action movies but be forewarned Halo Legends is rated PG-13for a reason.

For Halo fans only?

Watching this "movie" makes me wonder if its for Halo fans only. If youare unfamiliar with Halo, this movie will appear disjointed. If you arefamiliar with Halo but not a die hard fan (ie. like myself) you willfind it rather dull, disjointed and disappointing. The movie is a combination of 7 stories by different writers anddirectors. Hence the disjointed feel as it does not flow from beginningto end.Part 1 - Origins; it explains the halo universe but IMO is a little toopreachy about humanity's penchant for war. Even though the intro intothe Halo universe was good, the humanity and war angle has been donemany many times in Japanese anime. The story line is also very verycommon in any superhero comics. Found it rather dull.Part 2 - Duel; Interesting artwork. Take the Halo universe andtransform it into the samurai era. reminded me of one of the episodesof Samurai Jack.Part 3 - Homecoming; Explains the spartans. Story is flashback on how aspartan "escaped" when younger to get back to her family. Found it veryinteresting and they could probably create a full lenght feature withthis story line. Japanese Anime style.Part 4 - Odd One Out; All I can say is WTF?? How did an episode ofDragon Ball get in here. Basically this is Dragon ball with the samecharacter designs, stupid dialogue and slapstick. Just replace Gokuwith a Spartan.Part 5 - Prototype; very mech type action oriented. Looks like Gundam.Action is good but (me not being a halo fanatic) don't see theconnection with Halo other then the baddies.Part 6 - The Babysitter; A throwback to the 80s style of anime likeRobotech or Yamato. Felt like an episode of the shows I mentioned, eventhe ending. No bad.Part 7 - The package; IMO the best of the parts. If the entire moviewas like this I would give it a 10. Great CGI graphics and actionscenes. This is the Halo im familiar with. Not much story (recover apackage from the enemy fleet) but exciting. While parts of the Halo legends are good and entertaining, as a wholeit is disappointing and I admit that for the 1st few parts I wasreading a book while watching and it took will power to not stop themovie partway through. Too disjointed and while the concept ofdifferent styles seems good, IMO in this case it took away from theflow.

No. No, I refuse to accept this as canon…

1) The Duel is by far the best, and only good short in this disaster. It explains the origins of the Arbiter, and why the rank was made whatit was during the halo games. Personally, i loved the way it waswritten, how it all tied together, but the art style was off. The useof TOO MUCH Japanese art style made me think i was watching a samuraiepic rather than some science fiction story. The Elites' armor were TOOinfluenced by the Japanese samurai armor, and it took away some of thefeel for the elites' own culture. But besides that, this short iswatchable and enjoyable.2) Origins is an origin story narrated by Cortana, explaining how theHalo universe came to be. I like how the animators included views ofForerunner technology and ships, and i love the way the combat skinslooked. But that's as far as it goes. Don't get me wrong, this shorthas all its information in the right place, i just think it may havemistakenly shown us information in a different way. For example, whenCortana is narrating how the Flood returned to attack the covenant andthe Humans, it showed all races fighting the Flood. This may not beentirely accurate, but the way it showed them makes it seem as ifbrutes, elites, humans and all others set aside their differences forthe sake of fighting a greater enemy (and they all lived happily everafter). Besides that, there's not really nothing wrong with this short, except that you can read this on wikipedia rather than shell out a fewbucks for it.3) The Package. I won't deny it, its fun. Its pretty damn awesome tosee the spartans kick major Covenant donkey (bad pun, i know) on theirown turf, but i must point out a few flaws. Arthur and Solomon, forexample, died TOO damned easily. They're supposed to be spartans, theultimate fighting machine, and they died stupidly, with Solomoncharging recklessly into the inside of a Covenant cruiser only tosuffer a stupid death thanks to a Covenant anti-matter charge. Wherewas all the military discipline? I know that time was short, but ALLsoldiers are trained to work as part of a team. If your team loses, youlose, and that's something that apparently Solomon wasn't taking intoconsideration though. On the other hand, Arthur's 'death' wasn'tvisible, and it opens up a few possible stories, such as a capture andescape from Covenant space. I'd like that. 4) Homecoming. Again, where's all the discipline? Spartans are shownhere to be (and i'm paraphrasing another reviewer around here) angstyteens. I know that they still hadn't had their first glimpse of battle, but why suicide? These people were trained to be the ultimate fightingmachines (redundancy, i know) and some of them just killed themselveswhen they found out that they'd been replaced with clones. I get it,its traumatizing, but i think that if you take some things intoconsideration the story is entirely impossible. Most, if not all of theSpartan-II candidates were taken from the early age of 6. A child'smind is so suggestive at that age that with proper conditioning, theUNSC would've made them forget entirely about their parents andwhatnot. More importantly, while i know that going back to yourestranged parents only to find out that you were replaced with a cloneis not exactly a happy thought, its not enough grounds for suicide.Suicide (and i say it as a person who once considered it) is a gradualthing, not something sudden. On a side note, why is Ralph-303 a marine? If he received the augmentations, the training, and the discipline, whydid he not remain a spartan? Was it because of the escape? But in thatcase, then technically Daisy-023 should have been kicked out of theS-II program and made a normal marine as well. Oh and just to put thecherry on this, there were only 150 Spartan-II candidates, with 75being chosen for the actual program. Why 303? Why is this shortdeliberately wiping its opening at the end of the alimentary canalthrough which solid waste matter leaves the body with our belovedcanon?5) The Babysitter. This one had *so* much potential. It is the story ofan Orbital Drop Shock Trooper squadron (ODST; Helljumpers) sent behindenemy lines to assassinate a Prophet. But wait, there's a twist! Theyhave a Spartan. Now, all of you who are familiar with the Halo mythosknow that ODSTs and S-IIs have a fierce rivalry, ever since John-117(the Master Chief) killed three of them in a training fight. So, whereis all this rivalry? Instead, we're stuck with this kid, O'Brian, whowhines like the pre-pubescent teen he is, griping about how the SpartanSAVES HIS LIFE ABOUT 3 TIMES. This could've essentially been one of thebest of the shorts, instead it plays out like that filler episode inanime, where they throw a bunch of clip shows together that addsnothing to the overall storyline. Again, on a side note, why doesn'tCal-141 ever talk to the other members of the squad? Is she sufferingfrom PTVD, as Lucy-B091? Or did the producers want to hide the factthat there are also women serving in the front lines? Because i knowwomen serving in Iraq right now.6) Prototype. There's nothing really wrong with this short, except thatit doesn't add a damn thing to the story. Like most of the compilationas a whole.7) Odd One Out. Didn't happen, disregard it.As a whole, there's not really that many things that are wrong withHalo Legends. I do think though, that they could've made it a whole lotbetter.

HALO Blue Ray is excellent

This review is from: Halo Legends [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray) Really loved how the material on this Blue Ray/DVD fills in the gaps in the HALO story line and history of the conflict with the Covenant and the Flood. The animation is all very high quality, even the stylized chapter featuring the Arbiter and his conflict with the Prophets was well done. The Extras that feature game creators and authors of the books also adds great insight into the HALO universe. Made me want to go back and play through the games again and also looking forward to the new HALO Reach game that's coming out this year. I would recommend it to any fan of the game and/or the books who's looking for more background and insight on Master Chief, the UNSC and the Covenant's ongoing battle.

about 30% great and 70% suck but still worth it. walmart - $19

I'll start by saying that I am a big and long time fan.. I've played all the games and own/read all the books.I'm also a long time fan of Japanese Anime but mostly the more mature and original titles. My favorite short was "the package" and the "the duel". Although "the duel" was in a watercolor style it made up it's lack of graphic art with a interesting story line. If judged on just these two I would give this nearly 5 stars. Voice acting and action were great in them. The stories were not corny or cheesy like the others."Origins 1 and 2" were not great but still pleasant to watch just once. The others were horrible.. They belong in the catagory with all the other generic cheap pumped out anime that seems so common in Japan. Still worth it though and Walmart has this for the same price as well.

Halo the anime

This review is from: Halo Legends (DVD) The movie starts out slow, lot of dialogue, you have to be a halo fan to watch the movie, and if not a lot is explained in the begining, the only thing I didnt like is how the spartans get handled, but thats how war is many casualties.

Boring

This review is from: Halo Legends (Single-Disc Edition) (DVD) I bought this video for my son and he just thinks is so boring. It's just short boring clips.

halo

This review is from: Halo Legends (Single-Disc Edition) (DVD) good animation, however, it takes to long, to get to the action...and a good story line.

Not sure what people are watching

I think the sheer newness of this film has people blinded to the fact that it was not that good. I am fantasy and Manga artist and I am more than in agreement with artistic license, but there was so much of that in this flick that it took away what could have been decent stories. The visuals where at times confusing and totally unnecessary. It was like it was done by students who were allowed to spread their wings with colors and abstract shapes. This is somewhat typical of true Japanese Manga. Just too darn much. If they focused on what the game truly portrays this would have been much better. If you play the game religiously you will be a bit disappointed in this looooong awaited movie.

5 out of 10

I'm not big fan of Halo series, but i played first two games, so idecided to watch these movies... They differs from each other prettymuch, so i'll try to rank each movie: 1) The Babysitter - 8/10 Pretty good story, not too much action, but inthis kind of story it is not needed. It's psychological drama, i likethat kind of stuff, there is nothing unnecessary, animation is on highlevel as well. 2)Homecoming - 7/10 Pretty nice picture, some action, some drama inflashbacks, all is nice. But still i didn't feel too sorry for the maincharacter, probably, because movie is too short, they didn't haveenough time for revealing whole drama. 3)Prototype - 7/10 The same as previous. Nice action/ drama... But tooshort. 4)The Duel - 6/10 Picture is weird, but not bad, there is some dramaand action, but elites in this Japanese-like environment is littlestupid 5)Origins - 6/10 Well it's just movie about background of Halo setting. Not bad, probably fans of the game would like it, but as i already sad,i'm not big fan. 6)Odd One Out - 3/10 It's parody, but it's not funny, and animationsuck. 7)The Package - 1/10 Probably one of the worst animation movie i eversaw. All is terrible in this one. Horrific animation (it's not so badwhen characters don't do anything... but when they start to move it'sjust terrible), lame story, stupid dialogs... All is bad. The onlything that could possible pleased someone is easter eggs.

Awesome new insight into the Halo Universe

This was a great take on the Halo Universe, and an awesome way to explore it a bit more. There are several types of anime in here; some of which I like better than others. That said, I rushed out and bought this the first day it came out (today), and I've watched the episodes on Halo Waypoint. This makes my review 10 times more qualified than those of people giving negative reviews simply because they don't like the IDEA of what Halo Legends is. Negative reviews of a concept have no place in a product review.

(2012-04-09 12:12:59)

Really Cool!

This was a Christmas present for my dad. He has watched it a few times and thinks it is awesome! I watched it once too and I think it's pretty cool! However, I will say this: if you are not a fan of the Halo video game series, then you might want to play those first. But, it is a standalone collection of animated films and it should be enjoyable, regardless!

The origins stories of Halo are brought to glorious life.

I must say, this was quite a surprise. About a decade ago, Halo: CombatEvolved revolutionized how games, specifically first-person shooters, should be played. What followed was a succession of sequels, each beingbetter than the last one. Inevitably, a movie was not far away. Withthe possible live-action movie postponed by companies fighting over it,this anime was created help satisfy fans and keep them waiting for thelive-action film. It does its job well.In a style similar to "Batman: Gotham Knight", Halo Legends consists ofseveral action-packed episodes, each made by a different studio, havingits own unique artwork/animation, and basically revealing a certainaspect of the Halo universe. The episodes are Origins Part 1 and 2(history of the Halo universe), The Dual (how the Arbiter became atitle of shame), Homecoming (the horror of the Spartan II program), OddOne Out (a ridiculous non-canon episode), Prototype (the first Spartanarmor), The Babysitter (ODST-Spartan rivalry), and the Package (MasterChief and company go in to retrieve a heavily-guarded package).Odd One Out is the only flaw in this movie. Everything else isexcellent. Beautiful animation, wonderful music, awesome action scenes, and great stories. This is as good as the games. Fans will most likelyenjoy this and so will you. In the words of the Master Chief, "...we're just getting started," because soon enough the live action moviewill arrive.

a great first outing. more please!

This review is from: Halo Legends [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray) As a big fan of the halo universe, i really enjoyed these shorts. the animation was good or great in all of them. the stories were lovely little peaks into the coolest parts of the halo mythos. i only wish there was a longer form, heavier plot piece. i hope we see more of this kind of thing from bungie/343 studios.

(2012-04-01 18:01:29)

No Halo here

If you are a Halo fan this is probably is a good DVD but if you are looking for a good movie about warriors in suits try Bubblegum Crisis.I really think the animation could have been better. I just got through watching 9 on Blu-ray that was a much better Blu-ray animation.

(2012-03-23 21:55:46)

Masterfully done

This review is from: Halo Legends [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray) First off the quality of this bluray is amazing. It is masterfully done and deserves credit. I ironically watched this on my PS3 and enjoyed every second of it. Having very little experience with the Halo Franchise outside of a few hours on Halo 3 I was curious to the larger universe that the games were set in. I know Bungie creates massively detailed worlds to set their games in and was curious as to what made Halo tick. I was very pleasantly surprised at the story and the quality of the animation in this release. The voice over work was excellent as well. Here is my breakdown:Voice Over:Very well done, with great narration. 4.5/5Animation:Its great to see the various studios and artists create their impression of Halo. The quality control is excellent as expected from a AAA title franchise. 5/5Blu-Ray Extras:Could have used more extras, maybe even a Halo Reach beta invitation code or something. If there is one area that always could use improvement its extras!4/5Overall:Well I would have given it a 4.5 out of 5 but that option is not available sadly. I asked myself did I regret pre-ordering the blu-ray and how badly did I miss the extras. To me personally I didnt think the lack of heavy duty extras called for a 80% score so I am giving it a full score. This is something you will enjoy, its feature length and worth the watch.5/5\

Ehh, its okay.

I was never a huge fan of the video games. Not because I didn't like them or because I don' t just love the stories (I do) but mainly because I didn't own an xbox when they first came out and I was never a part of the amazing social phenomenon that it's become. Until a few weeks back I wasn't aware that the story was so huge and epic, but now that I am I'm defiantly interested in finding out more. Well, I'm still waiting for my xbox to ship from home and I don't have ready access to a lot of books at the moment, so what then? Well, there's always Korean pirate DVD stores (yeah me!), you know, the place I bought EVERY episode of Battlestar Gallactica for just over fifty bucks (DVD quality too, HUA!). On my weekly DVD run a copy of Halo Legends caught my eye as I was walking out of the store and I thought to myself `hey, what better way to get more into Halo then to watch some anime based on it?' Anime based on a popular movie or comic has become a staple, from Animatrix, to the Batman anime, to the Hulk VS movies (still need to see those). These little episodic anime's have served other franchises well in the past. Unfortunately Halo Legends doesn't quite live up to the story it was supposed to portray. Sure, there are moments of fun and cleverness, but through the whole thing I was just waiting to be blow away by at least ONE of the stories, and I kept on waiting until the very last episode was finished. I kept looking for a third disk or something. Nothing. That was it. There are good episodes in this little collection, a few decent ones, and a couple really, really bad ones. But nothing great, nothing that stands out and forces you to take notice. The first two episodes, Origins, is nothing more than a retelling of the storyline behind the Halo universe, which is great for someone like me not totally immersed in the story from the games, but it surprised me how much I actually did know after all. There's nothing here that I didn't know from one place or another, nothing about the Forrunners, the Flood, the Covenant War, was new to me. If this is the case for me I can only imagine how boring and tiresome it would be for someone who's been following Halo since the very first game, though multiple books, games, etc. Unless you're a total Halo virgin Origins won't tell you anything knew. Plus the animation in these episodes is... what's the word? Cheap. That's the best way I can describe it. It was cheap. Not a lot of movement, not a lot of frames, just a lot of still pictures without the usual amazing background art that makes anime so great. Following these two episodes is `The Duel,' a story about the past of the Elites home world at the formation of their alliance with The Covenant. The main characters is apparently the Arbitrayer (sp?)of the time as he resists the alliance and fights for the independence of his race. Even without the terrible animation style this episode is done in it probably would have still been a pretty bad episode, but nothing else seems to matter when I can't even see what the hell is going on. It's done in some sort of water color style, don't know, I'm not an expert. But one does not need to be an expert to tell you that if you can't SEE what the hell is going on in a movie or TV show or whatever, then no matter what else it does right, that's the only that that is going to matter. How can I really appreciate the epic battle that takes place here if I can't SEE what the hell is going on? How can I sympathize for a character being unjustly tortured if I can't SEE her bruises and scares? If their just a bunch of lumps of indiscernible colors and shades then how can I saw I liked it? The Homecoming is a little better than the previous two episodes, but once again it lacks that `wow' factor the games posses. Fortunately it's done in a more traditional style of animation so we can actually SEE the action going on. The story focuses on a Spartan other than Master Chief, who is stuck battling the Covenant on an unnamed Inner Colony with a squad of UNSC Marines. As they fight their way through a ruined city to get picked up by a Pelican and evacuated, we are treated to some back story on our Spartan, how she tried to escape the training center, how she was kidnapped and replaced by a clone so no one would know she was gone. It's not a bad story, but it suffers from a few common anime faults. Like when the episodes hero (the younger version) points a gun at her clone (who has no idea she's a clone) and the clone girl just smiles and says hi. Really? If your double ran up to you and pointed a gun in your face, are you just going to sit there and say hi? Why do anime characters always do this? Moving on. Next we are treated to the abomination that is Odd One Out. Its dragon Ball Z and Halo neatly wrapped in one of the most absurdly idiotic anime's I've ever seen. Basically Master Chief is flying over an unknown world (for some reason) with another Spartan, #1337, who apparently despite his status as one of the world's greatest worriers has a habit of falling out the back of Pelicans in mid flight. As you might be able to tell from that alone, this isn't a serious episode. But it IS a stupid one. From ninja kids with super powers, to cavemen kids riding Dinosaurs, bumbling bad guys, full of themselves hero's, its basically a Saturday morning kids cartoon squished between a couple of drama/action based anime's. This episode really is the `odd one out' as it doesn't fit with any of the other episodes, and sucks a whole lot more then the worst of them. Then there's `Prototype.' It starts like dozens of animes. The fragile girls voice dying while a strong male lead stands by trying to comfort her. Anyone here see `Now and Then, Here and There'? This anime starts pretty much how that one ends if that helps anyone (probably doesn't, most who read this probably have never seen the show I'm talking about; your loss). This, along with the next episode, is probably the best of the series. A lot of action to love, some interesting character development. The main character, `Ghost,' is a soldier dealing with the loss of his platoon at the beginning of the episode and his lost humanity. They call him Ghost because he doesn't feel anything, doesn't love anything, and according to a few soldiers in this show, doesn't show much regard for their lives. It figures there would have to be mechs in this series somewhere, it's a Japanese staple after all. Plus it does kind of fit Halo, doesn't it? The mech in this episode looks a lot like a Spartan but packs a lot more heat. Though it does get kind of cheesy and emo, it's still pretty good. Next is `The Babysitter,' an episode about the badass ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Troopers) who jump into a planet with a Spartan (another blond hotty, apparently the Spartan program was full of them) to take out a Covenant prophet and document the `unknown alien ruins' of the planet. The reason I liked this one so much is the simple fact that it involves ODST, who other than the Spartans, are the biggest bad asses in the entire Halo universe. Sure, the Spartans are cool and all, but personally I prefer ODST troopers to the regular Halo hero. And lastly, rounding out the list is `The Package,' pretty poorly done CGI episode where we get to see Spartans fight together and use some new fang space fighters. This one is nothing more than a `shoot em up' episode. The animation is pretty poor by today's standards, the action power ranger ish, the dialogue cheesy at best. Nothing special to report. On a side note, I want to say I'm impressed with the Halo music, even if it was taken directly from the video games. Makes me want to go back and play the old ones (Halo 1 and 2) even more now. So, is this a set worth owning? Only if you're a diehard Halo fan. If not, it's a rent at best.
