Good ByeI don't think it's sunk in yet, the final chapter in the Harry Pottersaga is over. It only took 10 years to finally reach to this point. Butit's got a lot to live up to being the last one. It's got to satisfyfans and tie up all the loose ends the way the book did. I've got tosay that this is properly the best Harry Potter film out of them. The story takes place where Deathly Hallows Part 1 ended withVoldermort's discovery of the elder wand and right after Harry Potterand his friends make it to the shell cottage. Harry and the rest of hisfriends continue their search for the Horcuxes and continue this searchall the way to Hogwarts where Voldermort is bringing his forces toclash with the students and the order of the phoenix.I must admit I had my doubts about this film considering what they hadleft of the book to work with and a lot of what was shown in thetrailer was the Battle of Hogwarts. But my doubts were dismissed afterthe viewing of this film. It not only was filled with exciting swiftbattle scenes (battle of Hogwarts) but it had many powerful scenesfilled with emotion. Scenes like The Goblin Massacre, the numinousdeath scenes throughout but two scenes really stood out and those were"The Prince's Tale" where we get a look into Snape's past which shows areally different side to Snape that we haven't seen before and reallygets to you. That scene is really pushed by Alan Rickman's fantasticperformance that should get Oscar consideration for best supportingactor. The other scene is "Into the Forest Again" which was filled withemotion as the main cast of Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and EmmaWatson does not disappoint one bit and couldn't be better and we getsome fantastic cameos from other actors too. All this fits the mood ofurgency in the film and lost hope. You feel almost no hope for any ofthe characters during the battle of Hogwarts with more and more peopledying your hope along with the hope of the other characters begins tofade. But through it all something the Harry Potter franchise (andincluding this one) never lost was its sense of humor. It had its briefmoments where we could release the tension and laugh a little bit. Butsomething it gained for this filmed was huge epic battle sequencessomething that we have never seen in these films before. The biggestbattle we had seen in these films before was in "Order of the Phoenix"but it's not even close to same scale as this one. We get somethingmore like a Lord of the Rings battle with overwhelming odds and featsthat seem in mountable. And the final showdown between Harry andVoldemort did not disappoint one bit and neither do the actors.Including the actors already name (Daniel, Rupert etc.) they hadfantastic performances all around by everybody. Ralph Fiennes giveanother great outing as Voldemort which I never thought hisperformances never got the recognition it deserved. Matthew Lewis stepsup his game as Neville Longbottom. Warwick Davis is good as always, andMaggie Smith gives another fine performance as Professor MinervaMcGonagall and from what we saw of Helena Bonham Carter is anotherwicked, scary performance as Bellatrix Lestrange. Everybody else isgreat too John Hurt, Ciarán Hinds, Kelly Macdonald, Julie Walters (amhappy to report she kept her famous line as Molly Weasley) EvannaLynch, Michael Gambon, Bonnie Wright, Tom Felton (etc.) All of thetechnical pieces of the film are fantastically well done. The specialeffects are nothing short of fantastic. And the Musical score byAlexandre Desplat is very well done. It still in my mind doesn't topNicholas Hooper's Score for "Half-Blood Prince." The Directing by DavidYates is his best to date and the Cinematography by Eduardo Serra looksgorgeous. Overall my only real grip on this movie is I felt it neededto be like another 10 min longer.Well it's all over and what a fine ending it turned out to be. Allthere is left to do is say our good byes and say thanks to everyone fora wonderful Ten Year movie run. It's been great and it truly is the endof an era. And thank you J.K. Rowling for writing this wonderful worldand these wonderful characters. There is only one thing left to sayGood Bye.Final Score 9/10 |

J. K. Rowling is a masterful storyteller. The makers of this movie are not.The movie only passingly reflected the second half of the book HarryPotter and the Deathly Hallows. Corners were cut and a masterpiece of abook was turned into a misshapen and expensive failure. Oh, it may be afinancial success, but because of what remains of the magic andgreatness book.In the book, it was lies, hate, and abuse that separated one side fromthe other. Harry Potter's side was one of inclusion, of giving peoplechoice and showing mercy. In the movie, both sides are vicious andstupid. The beautiful details and realism found in the fantasy of thebook was cheapened and abbreviated in the movie. Where as the earliestmovies also abbreviated from the book as essentially all movies will,it was done in such a way that the true magic grown in the reading ofthe books could still be found in the movies.I came into this movie with high hopes. I saw the high rating and Iknew the last book really picked up in the second half. The makers ofthe movie had more time with which to delve into the details sincethey'd split the single book into two movies. Yet scene after scene inwhich I wanted to see and hear the mystery and beauty I imagined whilereading the book, each scene was ultimately unsatisfying, unfaithful, and mediocre. |

I feel positively confundedSPOILER ALERT!! Ever since the final book was released and I read itbeginning to end in one night, I have been imagining how the finalscenes would be played out in the movie. The book ending was absolutelyperfect!! Unfortunately, it seems I will have to continue to imaginethat perfect ending because the movie ending bears little resemblanceto the book. The producers and writers mucked up yet another ending.I was sorely disappointed with the ending of HBP (Dumbledore'sfuneral?) but after DH Part I came out and it actually followed thebook for the most part, I had high hopes for the ultimate ending topart II and to the series. As a devoted fan of Harry and his friendsand of the books and the movies, I feel cheated. We deserved thatperfect ending.Having expressed my disappointment with the ending, I will say that therest of the movie was fantastic, superb! It was everything I expectedand more. The only reason I gave the movie 6 stars was because of thelast 10 minutes - of the movie - and of the entire series. |

Stop complaining!!!!Yes, I would've liked to have seen more scenes from the book. But Idon't fancy spending 6 hours in the cinema! I love Harry Potter, buthonestly, I have spent enough time reading the books!Go to the cinema and watch it, give our British Film Industry some welldeserved cash.Personally, I would've liked to have seen Voldemorts face when Mollykills Bellatrix. I wanted to hear more about Dumbledore's life and itwould've been good to see Percy make up with his family. Even though itwasn't a big story in the films anyway. I didn't really like whenpeople got killed they burst into confetti (taken from X-Men LastStand, I think.) No doubt it won't end there though, they will probablycreate a film based on Rita Skeeter's book and another film aboutVoldemort (as they didn't use all the material from The Half-BloodPrince book.)But all in all a good film, the acting has improved tenfold and thespecial effects were amazing.I will leave you with one word for all people who will not stopcomplaining: "ADAPTATION!" |

Saying Goodbye to Hogwarts... In a Good WayAs many people have already seen, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,Part 2 is out in Theaters. I will not spoil this film for you if youhave not seen it yet. I will let you form your own conclusions as towhether you wish to see it or not.As everyone knows, this is the last film in the Harry Potter franchise, started 10 years ago with Mr. Chris Columbus at the helm. Many peoplecredit the third film of the series, Prisoner of Azkaban, as the momentthe franchise went from made for children to a more mainstream, matureaudience. I have to give major credit to Mr. Columbus though as withouthim, the visions, actors, and feel of what we know within the filmswould not have been created. Several years later, we are at the end of an epic journey. We havelaughed, cried, looked on with awe and inspiration. Mr. David Yatesreturns to his role and directs a wonderful end to J.K. Rowling's lovedworks of literature. To explain how I felt while watching this film is difficult to achieve.I was enthralled from the opening scene to the start of the credits.Very few films capture me like that where I am so in tuned with thestory. Star Trek (2009), Inception, and Avatar are a few of the moviesin which I have found myself repeat visits due to wanting to see partsof the movie that I have missed along the way. The film takes you on a roller coaster ride starting off slow, untilyou reach the first action sequence, then rushes headstrong intoanother series of scenes, focusing mostly on Harry and his charge ofdestroying the horcruxes. This is Harry's story. This is his moment toset the wizarding world right. Along the way, several characters stand out. Nevil Longbottom (MatthewLewis) makes a stand and Professor McGonagall goes to war. There aremany moments in which supporting cast members take the foreground for amoment or two, but it is still Harry's story throughout the movie.I have to applaud Alan Rickman for his portrayal of Professor Snape. Hehas always amused me in every movie and he doesn't fail here. Anotherfilm to see how great of an actor he is (besides Die Hard and GalaxyQuest); Bottle Shock. Now, was it a perfect movie. No. The CG at points looked amateurish andsome of the dialog didn't fit well into the movie. Does it deter youfrom enjoying the experience. It shouldn't. These are just littlethings that annoy me.If you read the books, which I am sure most of you have, the storydoesn't follow the book as well as it did in Part 1. I have yet to seeany movie adaption of a well loved book ever faithfully follow the bookto the letter. Even Game of Thrones didn't follow the books to theletter, but it did a good job. Enjoy the movie for what it is: A satisfactory end to a magical, comingof age, story. |

Too much destructionOf course one day the Harry Potter movie saga would come to an end alsobecause the main performers are becoming older and sooner or laterwould not be able to act the characters of the children studentwizards. With the books by J. K. Rowling it's different since they haveno images. I must begin to say that I have not seen Part One thereforewhat I am saying here must be read having that in mind. This moviefavours violent action and a lot of destruction to the detriment of thepoetry of magics we have seen for instance in the H. P. AND THEPRISONER OF AZKABAN movie. However we must recognize that the specialvisual effects are unbeatable, thrilling and of excellent quality. Thestory is not very rich and original in terms of suspense but we can beproperly entertained while watching all the adventurous scenes. Onelast word to the final scenes that re-establish the above mentionedpoetry. |

Just enjoy the MOVIE!After three days I'm still a little torn when thinking of the end ofthe Harry Potter movies. On one hand, I really liked the movie. They managed to bring the wholebattle of Hogwarts on screen. But precisely because the last movieconsists almost ONLY of the last battle at Hogwarts, I get the feelingthat something is missing.Currently, I'm trying to come to terms with the fact that there will beno more Potter movies and therefore no chance to ever see the partsthey left out on screen. One thing that will bother me forever - and almost ruined one of thegreatest moments of the books for me - is the story of Teddy Lupin. In7.1. Tonks starts to mention something that should hint at herpregnancy, but she doesn't really say anything about it and thosepeople who haven't read the books will probably forget about that hintquickly. In 7.2. we never get told about Teddy's birth. And then, completely out of the blue, in the scene where Harry walks to his death(the most emotional scene of the books - I cried so hard during readingthat!), Remus suddenly says something like "My son will one dayunderstand what I died for". Everyone in the cinema was like WTF?! Wenever before - or AFTER in the epilogue - heard of Teddy. Why did theyhave to mention him in that scene then? Destroyed the feeling of thatscene almost completely, because everyone in the cinema was just reallyconfused and whispering about it.They could have added the part in Shell Cottage where Remus comes inand tells everyone that Tonks gave birth to a boy. That way Remus'words in the forest wouldn't have been so out of place and it wouldhave given the movie a peaceful scene apart from the whole battle. One thing they really did brilliantly was the Prince's Tale (apart fromthe fact that they filmed it in a boathouse rather than the ShriekingShack - why do they have chance something like this? I don't get it! Imean the Shrieking Shack has a deep meaning for the protagonists and isalready a familiar place for the audience!). But otherwise that scenewas great! Alan Rickman was brilliant in that scene! It's disappointing however that Dumbledore's tale was never fullybrought on screen. It was so important in the books and so veryeffective in showing that Dumbledore was also only human and had a darkpast. In the movie Harry simply says that he trusts Dumbledore, but inthe book he gets doubts about the man and rightly so. It bothers meeven more because they once again gave so many hints about his past, but nothing of importance was filmed and it leaves us hanging with thefeeling that his story is not being told. That's something I feel in every Potter movie since the third movie. There are so many hints and half-told stories, but we never get thewhole picture of it (except if you have read the books). I know that itis impossible to get EVERYTHING on screen that happens in the books, but I really feel like there could have been MORE. We never even hearof Voldemorts past and his parentage.Furthermore, there are a lot of little details that bother me, eventhough it doesn't really take away the fun in watching the movies. E.g.Harry's eye colour! In the books they are green. Just like hismother's. They even mention it in the movies that they have the sameeyes. But the actors have different eye colours! Couldn't they haveused contacts?? Also that Dumbledore doesn't wear his half moon glassesor that Tonks doesn't change her hair colour (except in the fifthmovie) and many more little details that would have added to the simplemagic of Harry Potter. It also bugs me that we never see Wormtail die. I loved that part inthe books where he strangles himself with his silver hand, but we neversee what happens to him in the movies. It's also a pity that Harry and Voldemort have their last showdownalone. The part where Voldemort realised that he can't hurt anyone inthe castle anymore, because Harry sacrificed himself for them, was verypowerful in the books. What I loved and I'm really grateful for, is the fact that Nevillestill got to behead Nagini. I was already scared when he got knockedout that they would change that part and let someone else do the job,but then out of nowhere Neville appeared and killed Nagini - greatmoment in the movie!! I love the music and love all the actors - AlanRickman, Maggie Smith, Dan Radcliffe and Tom Felton were especiallybrilliant here! I adore some parts of the movie, some had me leftwanting more. But that was to be expected.I think it's a real pity that there wasn't someone here who loves thebooks so much to consider all the little details and the wholebackground story, like Peter Jackson did with The Lord of the Rings. That love for details and that devotion for the story is really missingin the Harry Potter movies. The style of each movie is different. A lotof the story is missing. Details are being left out which are important- especially for real fans of the books. The Harry Potter series reallywould have deserved to be taken on by someone like Peter Jackson! All in all, I think the movies as stand-alone are great! But as a realfan of the books you shouldn't compare it or you'll be disappointed. |

The End of 10 Years of Pure Magic. To begin, it was needed that the book be split into two movies, onemovie would have been too long, and would have ruined the essence ofthe book. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part two is what itshould be, an epic finale of amazing graphics, locations, acting, andabove all truth of the book molded into pure cinematic bliss.Like most books turned into movies the text is not exactly molded tofilm word to word; as in the case of the film certain pieces of thebook were missing, but what was put on film was still well done andunderstood by the readers. The Good: -The pace of the movie was explosive but easy to keep upwith.-The Graphics, absolute perfection! -The story -The acting, simplyamazing tears were shed by all Potter fans -The movie itself was good, but to be clear it was true brilliance. The Bad: -While the movie was still great without certain parts of thebook, it would have been nice to see the finale truly convertedstraight from the book.-the series ended! (but thats a personal problem :) The good out weighthe bad by a lot, but any true Potter fan would love this seriesdespite the little faults presented. Go watch it, and when it comes outto own, go buy it, and once you've done that treasure it, because thismovie is pure gold, and the series is pure magic. |

The best was worth the waitThere's a lot of "sniffiness" around the Harry Potter franchise -perhaps because of its history as a children's fantasy book; and I feeltiny pangs of guilt even now in recalling going to see "anotherfnarring kids film" way back when the first film hit our screens. The plot was paper thin, sure, but what it lacked in intellectuality,Sorcerer's Stone (2001) more than delivered in pure, unadulterated fun;and it kept on doing so for the next five features! Fast forward 10years and the magic is still fresh - bouyed by a closely knit team ofprofessionals and great acting talent of all ages, without question, although I've enjoyed every film in the series, Deathly Hallows Pt 2 isby far and away the best.If I had one request to make, it would be that a future Blu-Ray (DVD)release stitches the final two films seamlessly simply because theybelong together and the the financial prerequisite of run-time isn't aproblem.Even if you're not a Potter fan - this film stands alone or in sequencehead and shoulders above the typical Superhero drudgery being peddledby the studios; and I believe it will stand the test of time.Thank you cast and crew for making me believe in cinema again. |

VillageVoiceNY (2012-04-27 00:21:05) |
The Village Voice review of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2Part 2 is a magnificent finale for this fantasy opus, one that paysample justice to Harry's long-in-the-making showdown with He Who MustNot Be Named, a battle in which life and death, the past and thefuture, precariously hang in the balance. Yates's latest boasts an almost classical attention to mood andcomposition, with the director allowing shots to breathe for more thanfive seconds at a time, conveying emotion through careful framing, and—notwithstanding a somewhat visually subpar airborne flight fromfire— imbuing his CG-heavy centerpieces with grace and majesty. Asbefore, however, performance trumps spectacle, especially with regardto Alan Rickman, capping off his iconic turn as Professor Severus Snapeby slowing his dialogue down to a sinister crawl, and Radcliffe, completing his portrait of Harry's transformation from wide-eyed naïfto selfless adult with intense conviction and heart. That development has naturally been mirrored by the series as a whole, whose early, buoyant, kid-friendly adventures are such a far cry fromthis film's black-night doom-and-gloom that, when now we get a quickglimpse of a cheerfully boyish Harry or of a long-ago teacher, it'slike a punch to the stomach. The loss of innocence is Harry's truedestiny, and as the movies have moved from the juvenile wonder of ChrisColumbus's efforts to the teenage awkwardness, confusion, and anger ofsubsequent chapters, what emerges is a frank, multifaceted view ofgetting older as something at once jarring, frightening, and—in itsability to allow one to clearly confront the world as it trulyis—liberating.Read more of this review at the Village Voice http://bit.ly/oFENBa |

3 words: Awful,Awful and Awful!I don't think it matters whether you are a fan of the books or not tobe able to come to the conclusion that this is the worst Harry Potterfilm of all and one of the most over-rated films ever! I have not readall of the books which means that I have a fairly unbiased view whenwatching the films-I'm not expecting the film to follow the booksexactly. This film was awful for several reasons: 1)Lack of dialogue- what's thepoint in paying the actors millions of pounds for them to say virtuallynothing throughout...apart from Harry and frankly I would rather heremained quite throughout because his voice and wimpy demeanourirritate me! 2)Poor action scenes- for example an exchange betweenHarry and Voldermort- was pathetic. It wasn't an intense duel; it waspoorly acted.3)Wooden acting- for example the romance between Ron and Hermione- youcould tell how uncomfortable they felt together! And the ending isincredibly poor- it was too abrupt and didn't connect smoothly to therest of the film- a rush job I think.I can't believe this film is expected to gross the most money of allthe films. And I can't believe I actually PAID to see it...I would haveto be paid to see it again that's for sure! Don't waste your money andtime (2hours40mins)on this film even if, like me, you're going to seeit just because it's the last ever films- it's the worst of the lot! |

Hexed, Vexed, and PerplexedThis film is recommended. Good versus evil! You'll hear no spoiler from me in this review, although it doesn't take a rocket scientist or any wizard to guess theoutcome in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. The gang's allback and more in the final thrilling installment of the HP series. In the incomplete HP7: Part One, we left off with Harry, Ron, andHermione still trying to gather the Horcruxes ( pieces of LordVoldemort's soul ) to finally rid the world of this villainous predatorand his black magic crew of crazies and Death Eaters. Sacrifices weremade and lives taken in the ongoing struggle against evil domination. And HP7: Part Two wastes no time with any informational flashbacks orneeded exposition to aid its audience to recall any history or plot. It's up to each and every moviegoer to do their homework and bringtheir own prior knowledge to the proceedings. Every Muggle for himself!( It is here that I must confess that I had some difficulty with mylack of knowledge about some minor characters from other installmentswho now have major roles in this segment of J. K. Rowling's massivesaga. Their importance and interrelationship with others seemedincongruous to the action on the screen before me, while other moreinteresting characters from earlier versions never materialized in thislast chapter. I was in desperate need of a program, map, or CliffsNotesto guide me through the film's cast of thousands. )This final film emphasizes action and special effects with very littlenarrative and character driven dialog. It's all about tying up looseends and providing a jolly good conclusion for its loyal fan base. Thatthe film was somewhat anti-climatic and a bit unsatisfying to me cameas a surprise. Yes, all the beloved characters are there, even if it isonly a cameo bit for some. All are armed with magical wands and potentpotions, ready for battle, but the film's pace felt a bit rushed and onoverdrive to me, with this part relying too much on special effects tocounteract any real emotional connection for me. Still it's a minorquibble with all the lush production values, lavish sets, soundeffects, marvelous CGI and make-up, and valuable assists from the castmembers of this monumental series. For the last ten years, the moviegoer could sit back and partake of anillustrious collection of talented British actors that have lived andprospered with enough serious British coinage and global fame from thisfilm series. We watched these actors breathing new life into Rowling'smulti-dimensional supporting characters and journeyed with them, caughtin the complex genealogies of Harry and family and participating intheir physical and emotional growth. Special praise must be given tothe perfectly inspired casting of Daniel Radcliffe as our hero who hasgrown more as an actor than one would have expected. Radcliffe'slikability and poise given to his role, along with the fine chemistrywith his cohorts, Rupert Glint and Emma Watson, brought an addedintensity to the films. The film's strong supporting cast, whichincludes Maggie Smith, Michael Gambon, Alan Rickman, Helena BonhamCarter, and the reliable Ralph Fiennes as the Dark Lord, are just someof the thespians who provided their own unique form of magic with theirendearing eccentricities and subtle quirks that helped to make thisseries so successful. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 may satisfy manymoviegoers and devotees of the books. However, for this ordinaryMuggle, it was more of a technical triumph than a purely fulfillingmovie-going experience. HP7: Part 2 is a fitting ending for a mammothundertaking that has become an impressive part of cinematic history andepic filmmaking. One could easily admire the craftsmanship anddedication of all those involved with this worthwhile project ratherthan truly love the finished result. I, for one, was more bewilderedthan bothered and certainly not bewitched this time around. GRADE: BNOTE: Visit my movie blog for more reviews: www.dearmoviegoer.com |

It (finally) ends!Ever since Harry Potter's introduction some ten years ago, I've alwaysbeen eager to see how this finale would turn out (I am a big sucker forgrand finales). After ten or so somber minutes of recapping the lastfilm, this last hurrah starts off strong as the characters infiltrate amagical vault, before moving along to the ultimate Battle of Hogwarts. As far as finales go, I wouldn't dare rank the Hogwarts battle over myother favorite scenes. Even though it takes up over twenty minutes ofscreen time, something about the final battle didn't really strike meas exceptional; I suspect it's because the actual fighting is subduedto the background, with no real sense of progression, variety, or trueperil. But after some sporadic bursts of fighting and mystery, the filmfinally gets into the final duel between Potter and Voldemort, which ispretty damn cool. There are also a number of other epic moments in thefilm that'll keep it lively, and will enthrall most die-hard fans. Ifelt there could have been a bigger punch, and there are just a fewscenes that drag, but what we get is satisfying. The story is ultimately tied together quite well, combing up all theelements, characters, and events of the last several films for somefinal revelations and a decent conclusion. Some scenes may not makesense to casual fans or those who are unfamiliar with the books. Thecharacters are as strong as ever, and with an overt theme of duality, Ihave found most of it very intriguing. The film shows fine photography and editing. Some scenes look made for3D, but are never overly-gimmicky. Acting is as strong as ever, savefor maybe one or two cheesy moments, but I was quite impressed withEmma Watson's mad ability to mirror Helen Bonham Carter so well! I haveno complaints about the writing. Production value looks strong, withplenty of solid sets, props, costumes, and wonderful special effects.Music is pretty decent (and often echoes John Williams' original themefrom the first couple of films).Recommended, especially for fans of the series.4/5 (entertainment: 4/5, story: 4.5/5, film: 4/5) |

Couldn't have ended betterThis is what all had been waiting. The end is here and it comes with abig bang. This is the best installment of the series excluding Prisonerof Azkaban. Finally its Harry vs Voldemort. With the beginning only itsquite understandable that all we're gonna watch is a lot of action. Thedirection great, the script is written pretty well and I just loved thescreenplay. Its stunning visually and the effects are commendable. Onemore thing is that you will find your heart pacing as more and moretime passes. Definitely all you think is that its gonna end now. Iwatched in 3d and didn't find much use of 3d except 2-3 good scenes. Soits moreover kind of same if you watch in 2d. The truths when unfolddelivers a shock to us. Although the ending scenes don't fit well butthe climax is superb and it couldn't have ended better. Just loved itbut sadly the series is over now. |

Great end to a saga. The Harry Potter franchise comes to an end and it is a spectacular sendoff. This movie does a stupendous job of tying up the story of Mr.Potter and his friends. The good wizards stand against Voldermort andhis Death Eaters in this battle royale of good versus evil. The secondhalf of the final book was my favorite part so I was looking forward tothis movie. I loved the climatic landscapes of this movie and the waythe story comes alive and makes the magic seem real. It was withbittersweet sadness that I enjoyed watching this movie knowing thatthere are no more stories coming. Oddly, I did not feel this way whenreading the books. I think as I am more of a movie person than a bookperson I have a stronger connection with the movies. I give this moviea green light. I truly enjoyed myself while watching the film. Take thelast trip into Hogwarts and get set to watch a movie franchise closeits doors with a bang.To see more of this review please go tohttp://fatsamuraireviews.blogspot.com/ |

Great Movie but not a fan of the endingOK I really liked the movie but I wasn't a big fan of the ending. Up tothe last 30 minutes, I really enjoyed the movie. However, once themovie was about to end I really didn't enjoy it after that. I don'twant to spoil the movie for anyone, but I made a video about it:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TE_vVT9uL44 That talks about the lastfew minutes of the movie, and how it differs from the book. I reallywanted the movie to end the same way as the books did, which would havebeen awesome. However, the director decided to make the ending a littlemore climactic which really took away from the overall story in myopinion. Other than that though, the movie itself was very well made, and it was a good sending off for Harry and company. |

It's been a long time since I've been so Entertained!!!From the first moments as the music beings to the final credits, thisfilm lost not time in engaging, tying up all the loose ends, bringing atear into the eye (more than just Snape) and answering questions thatthe book sorely lacked. Screenwriters captured the highest points ofthis film, showing that Harry was the hero he was born and bred to be.Every character supported him, kept his spirits up, and filled theirspecial effects magic with eye-popping cinematography. The IMAX 3-D is not to be missed, the audience is totally immersedinside the hallowed halls of Hogwarts.Run don't walk to take a seat in your local Imax. Haven't been this enthused about a flick, since the chariot race scenesin Ben Hur....and Harry Potter beats that, because the "race" goes theentire 2 hours. You leave the film feeling like you were there, standing next to all the actors, living their experiences yourself. This is a definite don't-miss!!! |
