Es difГѓВ­cil encontrar videos doblados al espaГѓВ±ol, en tiendas en los E. U., pero por fortuna, esta lo estГѓВЎ. No se pierda esta comedia, con excelentes efectos. Realmente parece que las cucarachas tienen voluntad humana (y en muchos sentidos, esta pelГѓВ­cula, nos dГѓВЎ un buen reflejo de lo que es la sociedad americana). COMPRALA, la veras una y otra vГѓВ©z, y quizГѓВЎs no vuelvas a llamar a un PCO (controlador de plagas, para los de habla hispana).

What a film

When my friend first told me about a film with singing, dancing bugs, ididn't even wan't to go within a mile of seing it. The plot of the film israther odd at best, but the humour and enjoyment of this film is trulybrilliant. You do have to have your funny head on to appreciate it. Ihavenow seen it several times and only once when i was in a serious mood did inot find it funny. This is a great film, so don't be put off by theplot.

One of the funniest moviues even made

Gross! Disgusting! WONDERFUL! I was dancing to "Funky Towel" and nearly busted a gut laughng at the rest of the movie.A Must-Have for your video collection!

Great way to waste money while genuine talented writers struggle

Film's predictable anyway, so I'll forget about spoilers and just say itstraight.I sat through the film on tv, all the while trying to work out what's ontheproducers's minds when they took up this project. I never did find alogicalexplanation.Maybe it's a guy thing, but seeing a talentless irresponsible idiotgettinga pretty girl without going through any chemistry, character developments,nor effort in getting the girl he wanted... it just sickensme.Yes the film's meant to be stupid, as was the jokes, but it doesn't excuseafeature length production tasteless waste of time.

A gutbuster!

This is one of my all-time favorite comedies. It was hilarious.Fromthe opening animation scene of the singing cockroach atop the StatueofLiberty's torch to the end scene where they form the MTV logo, the filmmanages to get its purpose across - to make you laugh so hardthatyour stomach hurts. And this is what it did to me. Joe (a countryboyfrom Iowa, played by luscious Jerry O'Connell) comes to the Big Apple insearch of a job and his first apartment. The first joke is that he'slookingfor subsidized housing with a rent of $100/month (!) He finally settleson aseriously rundown tenement occupied by two American cockroaches namedRandyand Ralph and their 5,000 singing and dancing family members(they're thebigbrown ones, folks, and they do fly in real life). Some of the scenes withthe garbage and the toilet are enough to make you hurl but it's all infun.**SPOILER**He meets a girl (Megan Ward) who wants to change the image oftheghetto by building a community garden on a vacant lot but her politicianfather (a very funny Robert Vaughn) has other plans and tries to have thebuilding torn down. Cockroaches to the rescue! My favoritescenewas the song and dance routine in the toilet to the original tune "FunkyTowel." I laughed until I had tears in my eyes.For people like me who are squeamish about bugs this movie willdefinitelymake you uneasy. But for those of you who "don't give a crap" (Randy'slinewhen he meets Joe for the first time) you'll love it. Family fare, no;olderkids and preteens, yes. Adults with a sicksense of humor, absolutely!

Not Bad.

This movie can be great if your in the mood for a so-so comedy. I enjoyd the roaches the most they always had me smiling. If you like silly, funny comedys this is for you!

Pretty original black humor comedy

I've seen this many years ago when it just came out and now decided towatch it again. I remember it was pretty funny but then I was maybe 7years old so now I was expecting this film to be stupid. I wassurprised how clever this film was. The humor was sometimes stupid butin a good way. It also was kinda original humor sometimes. JerryO'Connell played a naive new arrival to New York very well. It was sofunny when I first saw his naive physiognomy just before he got robed.Jerry O'Connell is a really good comical actor. I also liked thatWalter Sh!t character (played by Jim Turner), actually he was thereason why this comedy appeared original to me. It's also a halfmusical so there were few songs performed by Cockroaches, it was prettyclever made.

I Like Dark Humor, But Cockroaches - Yeech!

As someone who usually appreciates the absurd and likes many "blackcomedies," I was a little disappointed in this one. I mean, showingcockroaches who talk and sing sounded hilarious, so I rented the VHSshortly after it came out, but didn't find the dark humor as good as Ihad hoped.Somebody told me this film was really gross, but I didn't find that thecase. It's not bad in that department. It just isn't as funny as youmight hope. Also, let's be honest: how many people want to look atcockroaches for over an hour? How many want to see one for a minute?Not many. Cockroaches have to be one of the most disgusting creatureson earth. Yet having the guts to make a movie about them, and havingthem sing and dance, especially in a Busby Berkeley-type number, ispretty outrageous and deserves an "E for effort," as the saying used togo.I think this would have been more tolerable, and funny, had it been ashort film, something around 20-30 minutes. It might even have wonawards for "Best Short." but the "joke" begins to wear thin afterawhile.Still, if you are looking for something TOTALLY different and you arehard to offend, look no further!

This has got to be the stupidest movie on Earth!!!

But is also possibly the funniest movie on Earth at the same time! This movie rocked. Even though it was very, very stupid, it was hilarious and I was laughing almost the whole time. It's like one of those movies that make you feel high because there is so much drugs in it, except this movie makes you feel stupid because it's so stupid. I would recommend you watching this movie if you want a fun time and don't care about the story much.

One of those movies where every aspect is perfect- this movie could not be improved upon.

This movie is so good, it's surprising that it came from MTV. The animation is flawless, the soundtrack and cinematography are above par, and the musical numbers will have you crying.

Hilarious!

A complete stitch! The all-roach musical numbers (complete withchoreography!) had my whole household in stitches. The songs are so catchythey'll have you singing them for days. I think it suffers by beingexpanded from a short, as the pasted-on plot becomes a bit cumbersome, butthe bugs carry it all. Very, very funny!

I LOVE the ROACHES in this film!!!!!!!!

The ROACHES are so cute;they dance;they sing;they help the guy get the girl and save the apartment building from the evil,evil developer;they have a kitty-cat rodeo.The rest of the movie sucks;but the ROACHES are cute!!!I never thought I would ever say that about ROACHES!!!!!
