With some dreadfully unfunny scenes sprinkled with occasional comic highlights mainly involving Owen Wilson, this is barely passable stuff. |

Definitely... Not what I had expected. Nor with anyone for that matter..Surprisingly, this movie turned out to be quite hilarious, evenheartwarming at some parts. Almost all Focker fans I have talked withabout the new movie, have agreed with me, that the movie looks like itdoesn't really make the cut to being a good movie, after seeing thismovie, that opinion has fully changed. Yes, men do get the feeling thatbeing with their wives was something to love then, but they needsomething new, now. But this surely doesn't apply to all men- a messagethat Jack Burns, needs spelled out for him. After finding out that sadnews of a divorce between his daughter and son-in-law, Jack looks forwho to annoy with antics and 'true facts' next... That could only bethe 'GodFocker.' After much family drama that makes you stressthroughout the whole film, the ending is the icing that tops the cakewith a sweet taste of family. Instead of writing this review to it'sfull, I would recommend seeing it before it is out of theaters, forit's not one to contemplate over. Just see it and find out what youthink for yourself. |

Terrible. This film is terrible. I finally became a member on IMDb so I can sayjust how bad this film is. If you're thinking about going to seeit..don't.It is not funny, it lacks direction and most of all it is pointless. Itis an insult to the two earlier Meet the Parent films. Why it is called'Meet the Little Fockers' is beyond me, the children really are notthat involved in the film. The title is probably the funniest joke inthe whole film.I could explain for longer why this film is so bad, but that would takefar too long.In summary, the film is bad; go see Narnia, Tron or anything else. |

A classic example......of going to the well one too many times. The first 2 in the series were genuinely funny. This one seemed completely forced. There were a few chuckles, but no real laughs. The plot was thin, the storyline predictible, the acting sub-par -- an amazing thing when you have actors of this caliber in most key roles. Watch it on cable. |

The Vidiot Reviews...Little FockersOne of the few perks to starting a family is that you can nowcommandeer sidewalks with your doublewide baby stroller. And while the father in this comedy isn't struggling to get a monstrousbaby carriage through a doorway, he is facing family difficulties. After suffering a heart attack, Jack (Robert De Niro) decides toappoint his hapless son-in- law Greg (Ben Stiller) as his successor ashead of the family – but not without first scrutinizing his everyaction.Following Greg as he rendezvouses with an erectile dysfunction pillrepresentative (Jessica Alba), Jack later deduces that Greg is cheatingand sets out to expose him. With unfunny performances and a juvenile script to boot, this secondsequel in the Meet the Parents franchise wears the premise of adisapproving father-in-law and a bumbling son-in- law down to a nub.Besides, everyone knows that the real head of modern households are thepampered brats. It's watchable. I really mean it!I watched this in a theater and I didn't regret it. Before that, I sawthe ratings here and read some critics, and it was bad. I went to seeit anyway, expecting nothing of it. If I could stand watching 2 hourslong The Limits of control, I can surely stand the Little Fockers. Andguess what, I liked it! I had a few laughs, the theater was full andeveryone was laughing, so, I'm a little puzzled by all this negativityon IMDb. If you liked the first two movies, you will like the third onealso. You know what you can expect of the Fockers, right? The same oldstory. I would recommend to everyone to just watch it (if you liked theothers) and then make a judgment. This ratings on IMDb are somisleading, and makes you watch bad films, or not watch the good or theperfectly watchable. |

It's more of the same in this third instalment, but the star-studded cast makes the most of the well-worn material for laughs"Little Fockers" was always going to be the inevitable three-quel,seeing as how the US$55mil original "Meet the Parents" made asurprisingly sweet US$330mil worldwide and its US$80mil sequel "Meetthe Fockers" amassed even more. So here we are, six years after theevents of the last film, with Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) and Pam (TeriPolo) settled down with twins, their children's fifth birthday partythe excuse for a reunion between old foes. The contest of wills between the distrustful and intimidating ex-CIAagent Jack Brynes (Robert De Niro) and his hapless son-in-law cum malenurse Greg (Ben Stiller) has always been the cornerstone of the "Meetthe Parents" movies; and despite some distractions with Greg'shedonistic and particularly libidinous parents (played by DustinHoffman and Barbra Streisand) in the sequel, the focus is now squarelyback to the simmering tension between father and son-in-law. That tension starts all over again when Jack begins to suspect thatGreg isn't up to the task of being "the Godfocker", the one entrustedwith the responsibility of protecting the Brynes family line. Thecomplications in between are both old- the return of Pam's wealthy ex-lover Kevin (Owen Wilson) whom Jack openly favours- and new- thepharmaceutical rep (Jessica Alba) with the hots for Greg and whom Jacksuspects Greg is having an affair with, culminating in a mano-a-manofight between Jack and Greg in a ball pool at the party. Though their rivalry has just about lost its novelty, De Niro andStiller still go at each other like pros, and the result if not asfresh is just as amusing. Pity then that the script by John Hamburg andLarry Stuckey resorts too conveniently to cheap sexual gags revolvingaround some erectile dysfunctional drug Alba's drug rep is selling, including a genuinely low-brow sequence where Greg has to inject Jackin the privates after Jack's overdose on the Viagra-like pills. Both DeNiro and Stiller play along gamely, and their fearlessness is the mainreason these physical gags are still hilarious to watch. Ditto the rest of the ensemble cast- Teri as the sweet supportive wifePam, Blythe Danner as Jack's wife- who return dutifully to fill outtheir previous roles but are even more under-utilised than before.Worse still, Dustin and Barbra have been reduced to mere cameos whoappear at the start and the end of the movie; and even newcomer HarveyKeitel only gets a brief scene with De Niro in a wink-wink reunion ofthe two actors whose movies together include classics like "MeanStreets" and "Taxi Driver". Such a gathering of talents should definitely have accounted for more, but unfortunately the material doesn't quite match up to their comedicabilities. Director Paul Weitz ("American Pie", "About A Boy")- takingover the reins from Jay Roach- relies ever too easily on broadslapstick of the "Gaylord Focker" kind, eschewing the moresophisticated laughs in discomfort, awkwardness and humiliation thatwere a hallmark of its predecessors. Yet if the film still remains apleasurable delight, it is thanks to the obvious familiarity amongstmembers of the returning cast with their roles, clearly evident in theoutstanding on screen dynamics between their respective characters. And despite its title, "Little Fockers" really isn't about the five-year-old twins (played by Daisy Tahan and Colin Baiocchi), but ratherthe adults around them that we've come to know through the earlier twomovies. Rather than coming up with something new, the film throws upmore of the same-old and familiar from its predecessors- Pam's ex-flameKevin, the sexually open Focker parents and of course, the continuoustension between Jack and Greg. But thanks to the excellent cast, thisthird instalment, while no longer fresh or inventive, remains amusingand even hilarious at times. |

A Focking Franchise Too Far!On New Year's Day with nothing else to do, we went to see this movie inthe hope of a few good laughs. Sadly there aren't any. The story, suchas it is, drags along at a snail's pace and even seems to stop deadfrom time to time, which gives the impression that the writers arescraping around for the next gag. The fact is that this horse had beendead a long time before the movie makers started flogging it; itrefuses to respond no matter how hard they try. Dustin Hoffman and BStreisand are pretty much wasted here and even de Niro can't work upmuch of ... well, anything really. And Ben Stiller looks even morecrazed than usual. If you're happy to snigger at a few 'erectiledysfunction' jokes and a some throwaway lines about masturbation andenemas, this movie is for you. Otherwise, stay home. The Fockerfranchise is focked! |

Just avoid this film.I've been a long time fan of the site. Finally, I've joined so I canwrite a review. I wonder if all first reviews are negative ones? Sohere is my review...Where do I start without spoiling the whole thing? I haven't heard somany lame jokes about genitalia in a while. After watching the film Iknew I had to write a review about this sad excuse for a motionpicture. I loved 'Meet the Parents' but this was much worse than 'Meetthe Fockers' and anything else I've seen lately, for that matter. The all star cast should have thought twice about making this one. There are no redeeming qualities and the films resolution is lackingaltogether. It was a miracle that I didn't stop the movie after thefirst fifteen minutes. Just avoid this film. I could go on and on about how unfunny it is. ButI won't. Fail. |

There are less laughs in this tired threquel, which continues to revel in its not-quite-a-swear surname and the ups and downs of family life, this time with an added emphasis on kids and mortality. |

If Lesbian Vampire Killers and Santa Claus Conquers the Martians taught us anything, it's that you should never base an entire film's plot and existence around a title. |

Meet the Parents: Little FockersThe first film was fantastically funny, the second film I foundterrible with hardly almost no jokes at all, this third film I washoping would be an improvement, from director Paul Weitz (American Pie,About a Boy). Basically ten years have passed since Gaylord 'Greg'Focker (Ben Stiller) married Pamela 'Pam' (Teri Polo), and since thenthey have had two children, five year old twins Samantha (Daisy Tahan)and Henry (Colin Baiocchi). After many things happen he has finallybeen accepted by short-fused father in law Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro)and his wife Dina (Blythe Danner), but problems are bound to pop upagain when Jack develops health problems. With this happening Jackappoints him to take over the Byrnes clan should he pass away, i.e.become the "Godfocker", Greg certainly agrees to give his family thebest he can for everything. Things change again though when Jacksuspects Greg is having an affair with overly nice, eccentric andslightly annoying sexy pharmaceutical company representative AndiGarcia (Razzie winning Jessica Alba). Thinking this Jack suggests todaughter Pam that she should divorce him and reunite with ex-fiancé,Greg's friend, Kevin Rawley (Owen Wilson). Also on the scene causingslight chaos or embarrassment for everyone are the elder Fockerparents, travelling Bernie (Dustin Hoffman) and TV sex guru Rozalin'Roz' Focker (Razzie nominated Barbra Streisand). So Greg tries to belike the "Godfocker" sorting out the children's' school, the new houseand the finances, but he can't seem to get everything right, and heeven finds out friend Dr. Bob Banks (Thomas McCarthy) was also anappointed guy, as the "Bobfather". After revealing the truths about theaffair accusation and the heart attack scare, Jack and Greg have a fullon fight at the twins' birthday party, but they do make up afterwards. In the end, it forwards four months to Christmas time when the wholeByrnes and Focker clan are together, and there is a final discussionwhere Greg may not get some normality at all, but that's what you'dexpect, oh, and Jack discovers a video on YouTube of Greg slagging himoff, including being remixed as a rap. Also starring Laura Dern asPrudence, Harvey Keitel as Randy Weir and Scary Movie 3's Kevin Hart asNurse Louis. Stiller is still good as the increasingly embarrassed andhumiliated protagonist, De Niro still makes you laugh with his nearsinister attitude to his son-in-law, the supporting cast members Isuppose get their moments too, there are certainly one or two momentsthat I did laugh enough, like the erection and needle bit. It is stillnot as good as the first film, but it is certainly an improvementcompared to the second film, I don't know if it's worth watching morethan once, but it is an alright comedy. It was nominated the Razzie forWorst Screenplay. Okay! |

Worst movie ever ! ! !This review is from: Little Fockers (DVD) This is probably one of the worst movies I have ever seen... I did not laugh once. I couldn't finish the movie it was so sick and unfunny... It was so poorly written and acted by all. I don't understand how this movie ever made it to the screen and how any of these class Actors were stupid enough to even let it get released or worse yet, how could they have been so dumb to even read the lines and then think they were funny... they must have needed extra money to pay their Servants or something.... I tell you, Hollywood really takes us all for the suckers that we can be at times... thank goodness we can share our opinion... If I were them I'd fire their agent, I could get them better roles than that, geez... |

Just don't watch it with high hopes!I'm not goIng to lie but this film is the worst out of all the movieand didn't get really funny till the last 40 minutes of the film. Butit still quite a good film with the whole gang back, with two newcharacters, the little Fockers, who did very well, plus the film doeshave it really funny bits and I mean laugh out loud funny. Sure yournot laughing the whole film like the second one but I think they triedtoo hard on this film. But I still really enjoy it, the godfather jokekeep me laughing for the first 20 minutes, and Robert and Ben stop thefilm becoming a train wreck! Overall a quite a good film but could ifbeen a lot better, but once again they tried way to hard! So I givethis movie a nice 7/10! |
