Many lions, few amazons

If "Queen of the Amazons" is listed among the 10 worst films of the1940s at IMDb, I suppose it means a lot of films have been lost sincethen or are watched by nobody anymore. "Queen of the Amazons" isnothing particularly bad, just an average adventure flick that requiredplenty of archive footage of giraffes, elephants, a sinking ship etc.to fill the 60 minutes running time. "Queen of the Amazons" tells thestory of a lady who looks in India for her lost fiancГѓВ©. She is told"wrong continent!", because he actually went on a safari to Africa.Hey, we all make mistakes! Or maybe it was just because they also hadsome footage from an unfinished movie about India in the archive?Nevermind, the heroes soon continue the search in Africa, where lionsattack oftentimes, but the Amazons the title promises don't matter somuch. The script writer tried his best to provide some twists and turnsfor the story, so in the end, it wasn't as bad as the 2 out of 10average rating made me expect.

Amazon Queen Finds A Husband

The career of Patricia Morison is a strange one. She was a great singerwith a fine soprano voice yet was never used in Hollywood in musicals.I recall her being a fine villain in a Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmesmovie, maybe that was the best of the B films she did. Yet on Broadwayshe reached stardom in playing the female lead in Kiss Me Kate.But I don't think she ever sunk so low as in this independent B filmQueen Of The Amazons. She's not in the title role, she's just lookingfor her fiancГѓВ© who disappeared on safari years ago.Great white hunter Robert Lowery guides Morison into the African junglelooking for Bruce Edwards. They've got a dual purpose in mind, also totry and find who's been killing the great elephants of Africa for theirivory. That's what Edwards was doing when he disappeared. When they do find him, he's having a great old time with a tribe ofwhite female Amazons, their chief has made him the object of heraffections. And Queen Amira Moustafa isn't about to let Morison reclaimhim. Not that it's an issue because she's already eying Robert Lowerythe same way. It's great to see those jungle Amazons keeping up withthe latest Forties fashion.A whole lot of stock jungle footage gets used here to pad things out.Road To Zanzibar had more going for it than this item.

No Point Really

I got this in a science fiction collection. I kept waiting for sometechnological or science oriented event to take place. This is a badjungle movie. That's it. It's about a group of people who go to Africato find some guy who disappeared during a safari into the bush. HisfiancГѓВ©e is with the group. She gets to go along because of the way shehandles a gun. We are led to believe that the women in this movie areformidable and capable. One can out shoot the male lead. However, whenfaced with danger, they shrink back and scream. The Amazon Queen is thesame way. She has built a society in the jungle, showing no mercy attimes, but when it comes time to confront the villain, all she can dois plaster herself against a wall and howl. The men are just as bad.Most of the film is stock footage from African newsreels. It allows youto get a sandwich between plot elements. At times it appears that thesafari has about 400 native supply carriers. At other times they haveabout five. People get eaten by lions and killed with spears. A romancedevelops between the great white hunter and the other guy's fiancГѓВ©e.The evil Amazon Queen doesn't do much of anything except make idlethreats. And when push comes to shove, she doesn't seem to have anypower at all. What a worthless movie!

A great time waster

I just watched this film on my computer at work (on my lunch break).What I find amazing is how a whole movie could be constructed aroundsome African safari stock footage and still be entertaining in a junkyway. The 1940's stock character actors do their best to put the plotacross and for me it works as a grade B campfest. The men are eitherhandsome and stalwart or older and rather dithering and the women lookgreat in that 1940's glamor sort of way. I love that all the jungleamazons look like they stepped out of a Hollywood beauty parlor in fullmake up. The action scenes are hilariously hokey and you'll have funpointing out the mistakes in continuity. As the way to pass an hour Iprefer this kind of fun trash to some TV reality show or CSI Wherever.

Not science fiction, not that good

I only give this movie a 2 because I know there are far worse moviesout there. But this one's pretty much a stinker.Supposedly a science fiction movie, it is instead a tale of a group ofwhite people looking for the heroine Jane's fiancГѓВ©. They travel from'exotic' India, in which the natives are restless and must 'pacify'themselves with parades and games such as elephant tug-of-war, to'wild' Africa, in which the natives dance for every important occasion,lions regularly stalk their safari, and locusts swarm overhead.But the most dangerous thing around isn't the wildlife. It's the hiddencity of Amazons, white goddesses, who secretly rule the country withvoodoo. A city whose ruler has taken Jane's fiancГѓВ©. But is he hostage,or her willing sweetheart? Okay, you might say, white goddesses withvoodoo...that could be science fiction, right? If they have tech ormagic powers? Eh-eh. Nope. The Amazons are just women who rule over thenatives by some mysterious political process. Rather vain women, with aqueen who is pouty-feisty and requires praise on her looks, who claimsto be rough and ready but who stands screaming when the real bad guy(the poetry spouting chef/ivory smuggler) menaces her and Jane.So all in all, it's a pretty bad movie. You don't get much characterdevelopment, the racial stereotypes are painful, and it ends with aclunk. Oh, and did I mention it's not science fiction at all????

Mutual of Omaha's Wild Amazon Queendom

One of Edward Finney's most well-known films, Queen of the Amazons isthe story of a young woman (Patricia Morison), her guide,father-in-law, an absent minded professor, a cook and a man scorned whoall go on safari to hunt down her missing fiancГѓВ©. The film includes anumber of subplots ranging from the romance to murder mystery, andsomehow, it is all linked up to illegal ivory smuggling. The safari,inexplicably, launches from colonial India, and the search takes upmore than half the story.Most of the story is driven by transitional scenes between stockfootage of African wildlife, jungle scenery and well-acted actionscenes including animal attacks. The script, which takes on theresponsibility for drawing everything together and driving it along, isnot really up to the task. Dialog is used to establish virtuallyeverything the stock footage can not. Besides the bland camera-work,the often laughable stock footage, and the over-taxed script, thedirecting and editing are good. There are a few continuity errors, butnot as many as some reviewers have claimed. After all, this is Queen ofthe Amazons (who were written about by ancient Greeks 1500 years beforeEuropeans arrived in South America) not "Queen of the Amazon" (a rivernamed after the Greek stories). One, however, is worth watching outfor. Pat Morison is examining some stock footage of African Savannahanimals running away through binoculars. Just as she says "why are theyrunning away so fast?" we see a herd of gazelles in the binoculars -running in very slow motion.The cast performs very well given the limitations of the script andstory. The only acting disasters belong to the nevertheless likableAmira Moustafa (who had a remarkably short career). Many of the otheractors were veteran character actors, or on their ways to becoming so.What the film fails to do, despite a fairly strong effort, is togenerate any sense of drama or urgency. Nevertheless, it is not acomplete mess, and the stock footage is actually quite nice!

Why I enjoyed Queen of the Amazons

A very campy jungle film, with a woman whose husband has disappeared hiringa guide to try to help her find him. When they find him, he's got a junglebride and she decides to marry the guide. I enjoyed this movie alot.

Amazons in Africa?

While it brought back memories of a Saturday matinГѓВ©e, after seeing thison DVD I asked myself now that I'm much older, did it mention "Amazons"anywhere in the film? Or for that matter "Amazon Queen"? -- I thinkthey called her the White Goddess. Were there any Amazons, besides thetitle's maid, if you then count that as two? And doesn't it take placein Africa when it should be in South America? Did all this escape thescreenwriter? This movie is obviously aimed at kids. But parents shouldhave a little talk about geography and mythology after viewing thiswith them. Maybe that's a good thing. Anyhow, you can see why I gave ita 3.

Queen of National Geographic

Like many of the other people who might be watching this movie thesedays, I caught this as part of Mill Creek's "SciFi Classics" 50 MoviePack, and no, I have no idea what this movie has to do with ScienceFiction. It's really more of a safari adventure with a group of whitefolks in some far eastern jungle (the name of the town in the beginningis "Akbar," but damned if I know where that is; the stock footagesuggests India) surrounded by overly friendly natives and other whitefolks. In truth, most of the natives were genuine, but only becausethis movie is filled with stock footage. The stock footage, in fact,takes up a large portion of this film, with narration apparentlywritten around it detailing events that, outside of the stock footage,is never actually shown.The movie opens with a small group of Americans showing up in thejungles of the far east, searching for one Greg Jones, son of ColonelJones (John Milijan) and fiancГѓВ© of Jean Preston (Patricia Morison).During their expedition, they hear talk of a tribe of white women,known as "white she-devils." They are thought to have some connectionto the disappearance of Greg Jones, and, of course, my first thought isthat Greg encountered them and figured it might be worth stickingaround--you know, as the one guy in a society of women. Sounds like apretty good deal, don't you think? Sure enough, Greg (Bruce Edwards)has gotten his hands in the pants of the tribe's leader, a ratherattractive brunette named Zita (Amira Moustafa) who speaks brokenEnglish in a high-pitched, nasal voice. She sort of reminds me of SarahPalin, to be honest.Since Greg has taken up residence amongst Zita and the She-Devils, itseems only reasonable that Jean should submit to the proposals ofanother man. In this case, the other man is Gary Lambert (RobertLowery), the expert that they brought along on their mission. Oddlyenough, when Jean finds out that Greg has been getting it on with Zita,she seems fairly unconcerned; likewise, Greg doesn't really care at allthat Gary has taken an interest in his ex-fiancГѓВ©. This is what cinemawas like in the days before Jerry Springer, I guess. By the end of themovie, Gary marries Jean, and Greg marries Zita. The whole thing isvery Shakespearian, if Shakespeare had filled his plays with fightinganimals and dancing African natives residing in the far east.QUEEN OF THE AMAZONS: Honestly, if you're interested in seeing thismovie, it's best to seek it out online. It can probably be found forfree somewhere amongst the cyberclutter. This one is for fans of theera and the genre only...all three of them.

"Well, you wanted jungle, from here on you've got it."

The fact that nothing about this movie makes any sense is what alsogives it it's dubious charm. I have to say the movie's opening had apretty decent hook with the elephant procession in Akbar, India, whilea pretty but demure Indian girl held out the hope of a mysteriousadventure. Once on safari though, things take a downhill turn aswildlife stock footage threatens to overtake the main story, easilyeating up a third of the film.Even the movie's title, "Queen of the Amazons" turns out to be acontradiction, as the main story plays out in Africa. In retrospect,the action could have taken place in South America just as easily, butthen the film would be making a concession to at least one plot point.After all the intrigue inspired by talk of bad voodoo surrounding thejungle white goddess/she devil, it's almost comical to observe theAmazon Queen Zita (Amira Moustafa) coochie cooing with her boyfriendGreg Jones (Bruce Edwards). Greg never bothered to get in touch withhis fiancГѓВ©e about a change in plans, so now Jean Preston (PatriciaMorison) is leading the search to find him.Side stories abound in this clunker, as expedition guide Gary Lambert(Robert Lowery) has it bad for Jean after it was established that heconsiders women on safari a nuisance. There's also the identity of anivory poacher to be revealed, which doesn't take too much to figureout. Hint, it's the cook spouting bad poetry (J. Edward Bromberg), whocould have been given any kind of name besides Gabby, because afterall, Gabby belongs in a Western.By the time it's all over, you'll be pretty much standing on your headtrying to sort this all out. Fearless Zita (remember that speech toJean) screams in fright when Gabby throws a spear in her direction. Theicing on the cake though is the double ring ceremony at the end of thefilm, with the Amazon leader proclaiming that she's ready to leave herparadise - huh? It was at that point that Greg Jones' earlier commentmade a whole lot of sense to me - "Zita dear, you're quite a queen."

Lots of stock footage and a guy who appears to be fighting a drunk lion!

The movie begins in India and quickly switches to Africa. A lady islooking for her fiancГѓВ© who disappeared when going on safari. This isthe thin plot that was created to justify the use of a bazillion feetof stock footage of African wildlife--some of which was grainy and inslow motion! In many ways, it felt and looked a lot like a second-rateTarzan picture--that is until a bunch of White women appeared in theheart of Africa! These "Amazon women" were naturally lusciousbabes--complete with 1940s style perms!! I found this really easy tobelieve...and if you do as well, I have some oceanfront land to sellyou in Iowa.At one point in the film before they luckily stumble upon the Amazons,a member of the search party says to another something like "I think Iknow who the guilty party is....I'll tell you in the morning". To meand those knowledgeable in B-movies, this means "I will be killed inthe next scene...it's been nice knowing you"!! And, surprise, surprise,the guy is worm food in the very next scene! Well, just after this, theAmazon queen sends word to the party that she'd like to meet them--atwhich point she tells them that she is in love with the missingfiancГѓВ©--and he wants to stay there with her. This is fortuitous, as hisfiancГѓВ©e who led the expedition had already shown signs of falling fortheir guide. Once again, what amazing luck. And, when a traitor intheir midst shows himself to be the murderer and is about to have theWhite men killed, luck of luck, the men manage to fight back andescape! Wow, what wonderful luck....once again!! Overall, it's atypical low-budget African adventure movie--about what you'd expect. Asemi-engaging plot, occasionally competent acting, silly dialog, womenstanding by helplessly as the men fight (this was even true of the"Amazons" much of the time--what wimpy Amazons!) and lots of cheapstock footage.By the way, in a sad note, this bevy of White ladies have a very strong1940s mentality about race, as the leader explains that they havetalked about inviting in White men to join them--presumably because theAmazons are against interracial relations. However, it sure seems thatwhen you live in the middle of nowhere in Africa, you can't be thatchoosy.

Pretty entertaining

Wife looking for her husband who disappeared on a safari finds herfirst clue in Akbar India, which leads to another safari in Africa. Herhusband turns out to be living with a white woman named Zeta in thejungle, and he's not really interested in leaving.This low budget movie is surprising in that it really makes you feelthat you're in the jungles of India and Africa. The African footagesare beautiful and for that alone, this movie might be worth a watch. Italso has the most scenes with tiger and lion actually wrestling a man -something we don't see n more modern movie.Acting and the entire mood of the movie is good. It's very watchableeven if the premise of the story is little unbelievable.Although low budget, this movie is lot better than many modern fantasymovies that their artificial props takes away from the atmosphere.

Good fun for cheapie movie fans

Queen of the Amazons is an ambitious low-budget hoot.Because the production staff tried to make the most of its resources,it's actually for the most part a reasonably paced film with plenty offun things to see behind the director's curtain. You get sillydialogue, narration written after the movie was shot, a boom mikedropping into view, an artsy silhouetted villain, the sharpshootingfemale lead who is suddenly helpless with a gun when her beloved isbeing attacked, and acres of stock footage.It appears that large portions of the film were written around the mostinteresting stock footage they could find, both in India and Africa.The Indian stuff is unnecessary to the plot, other than they had theneat footage, or so it seems. But watching them try to write around allof the unrelated (but somewhat intriguing) material is great fun.The climactic fight scene has one of the most delightfullydifficult-to-follow brawls I've ever seen, because the villain looksnothing like his stunt double and looks an awful lot like the otherstunt double! Time and again they cut in to a closeup with the regularactors and I was surprised, thinking that the villain was the other guyin the long shots!There are a couple of unique characterizations as well mixed in amongthe clichГѓВ©'s, including the Queen herself, a low-key 40s starlet withan accent, and a pre-beat period poetry-spouting cook.The trained animals are quite good and have a bit of fun footage,including a playful tiger who does a couple of great romps on somestunt doubles.I saw this movie as part of the 50 Sci Fi(!) Classics DVD collectionfrom Treeline, which is a low-budget and IMDb low-rated movie fan'sdream.Enjoy!

One of the so bad its good flicks

A woman tries to locate her fiance who is missing somewhere in thejungle.This is a movie to make strong men go slack jawed and wide eyed. At leasthalf its running time is stock footage only some of which matches the studioshot footage (or even other bits of stock footage). The narration is so outof touch with reality as to make one wonder was the author in on the scriptmeetings. Its truly an amazing film.To give you an idea, the film begins with the search starting in India, forno logical reason. It then switches to Africa and goes on from there, wherebits of plot from India come into play, like the native uprising in Indiaaffecting the natives in the African Jungle, or the shadowy presence tryingto stop the search.At least it moves. There's good action, and the actors are game if nothingelse.Is it worth watching?Yes. The film at least is trying to do something for its runningtime.Inept film making aside the only flaw is a long passage toward the end whereits just people talking. It doesn't last long and before long there's agreat big fight.On the purely enjoyable scale I give it seven out of ten.Perfect for a rainyday when you want to laugh at something.

For men must work and women must weep

(Some Spoilers) The movie "Queen of the Amazons" takes place not in theAmazon Basin in the jungles of South America but in darkest Africa'slion and elephant country. As for the fierce and feared, by the nativesin the region, Amazon women warriors there about as threatening as thewomen on HBO's "Sex and the City" and as far as I could see-or count-there was only two of them in the entire movie.The movie actually begins in India where Jean Preston is looking forher husband, or is it fiancГѓВ©e, Greg who was lost on a tiger huntingsafari a month earlier. As it turns out Greg ended up in Africa wherehe was taken prisoner by a group of woman Amazon Warriors lead by theirleader the fearless and beautiful Queen Zita. With the switch inlocations, from India to Africa, we get to see lots of stock footage oflife in the wild as well as natives doing their thing in dance routinesbody piercing and an amazing, all caught on camera, lion hunt where thenatives take on the king of beasts with nothing more then spears andarrows!To spice the story up a bit we have Greg working undercover for thelocal authorities to infiltrate and smash a contraband ring dealingwith ivory tusks. Greg ends up-being the only man around- becomingQueen Zita's lover which greatly, after she finds that fact out fromthe Queen herself, upsets his fiancГѓВ©e Jean Preston. The real hero ofthe movie turns out to be Great White Hunter Gary Lambert who togetherwith his friend and five star chief, or cook, Gabby leads theexpedition into the jungle to find Greg.Gary soon realizes that there's a traitor-who's working for the illegalivory smugglers-in his group that includes, besides Gabby, Greg'sfather Col. Jones this nutty professor & friend of the Preston familyWayne Monroe. Gary as well as the films director also realizes, in themovie really going nowhere fast, that he has to find out who thetraitor is before the entire movie audience falls asleep from boredom!Well you can say the movie did pick up in the final minutes with Gary &Co. having it out with the contraband ring and the person behind it,after he came out in the open, getting his just deserts; A poison dartshot from a blowgun by the other Amazon-besides Queen Zita-in themovie. As death was quickly overtaking him the guy-the traitor- stillhad to go on reciting his awful poetry that besides those of uswatching had even the wild animals, like monkeys and exotic birds,going nuts!

Ebony and Ivory

"Join us on a woman's thrill-packed expedition in search of Greg, thelove of her life, who seems to be lost in the African jungle.Unfortunately, her guide, Gary, sees her, and all women, as dead weighton such a trip. Despite this, he agrees to help her while searching forivory poachers. In the course of their journey they must face imminentdanger from man-eating lions and a plague of locusts. Eventually, theyencounter a lost tribe of Amazon warriors. Is Greg held captive bytheir desirable 'White Goddess' (titular Queen) or is he there of hisown free will?" asks the DVD sleeve synopsis. You won't care.Some of the zealously inserted stock footage isn't bad, but it's editedin too sloppily to have any good effect. Leading players Robert Lowery(as Gary Lambert) and Patricia Morison (as Jean Preston) are about asgood as you can get, considering the material; they appear to see thehumor in the material, without breaking into fits of laughter. A coupleof the supporting players appear to be taking their roles far tooseriously, which helps make the movie unintentionally funny. Some old fashion brain fodder.

It called Queen of the Amazons, its in black & white, and its shot in1947. You should know exactly what you are about to watch. And if you watch to the end, you get to see a wonderfully bad stuntdouble replacement. In fact, one suspects on the day of shooting, theyrealized the mistake of booking two stunt doubles for the hero, andnone for the baddie, but we still went ahead anyway with the shoot.OK - there is lots of stock footage, and plenty of time devoted tofilming tricks performed by the monkey and bird, and any logic testwould fail the plot; yet, its not a 'bad' film. I strangely enjoyed Queen of the Amazons, its much like the comfySaturday afternoon black and white films I use to watch on TV 25yrs ago- it has a secret appeal to the 12 year old inside. It has a good pace,which stops you dwelling too long on the improbable of how they managedto justify the next piece of stock footage, or that the lion attacksinvolve the person holding onto the lion so he doesn't get away. But, I think my main reason for enjoying this was Patrica Morison; thefeeling you are watching someone who is better than the material shehas been given, but still gives the best within crippling limitations.I saw this on the TreeLine 50 SciFi DVD boxset - - so, invite a fewlike minded friends over for drinks and nibbles, sit back, and enjoysome old fashion brain fodder.

not totally awful

I've noticed several reviewers' exasperation at the "amazon" in thetitle as if it were a great mistake that the movie is not set in theAmazon Jungle.It should be pointed out that "amazon" is a term from ancient mythwhich does not originate from the Amazon River in South America. Itrefers to a legendary tribe of women called "amazons". The river inSouth America is actually named after that legend, apparently someexplore thought he saw some women there who fit that description.But if you like Johnny Weissmuller Tarzan movies, this is not a badsubstitute. I especially like the trained crow. After some recentresearch findings into the intelligence of crows, it's tricks are quiteplausible. Maybe more plausible than some of the human performances.

Don't judge too harshly - it's not entirely bad

Heck! It was different time altogether. What made for excitement in1947 is merely amusing, boring, or fascinating depending on yourattitude towards films and movies.I watched it. I enjoyed it despite the amazing plot holes. The firstthing you will note that the movie takes place mostly in Africa eventhough the Amazon is in South America. Oh, but this is about a strangewhite women's tribe living the jungle so they must be Amazons. Oh, andthe white women's tribe is mysterious in its nature even though theorigin is very well known and no-one ever decided to go rescue thesurvivors of the shipwreck. I can't figure it out so it is best not totry.Stock footage runs amok. It doesn't always match or even come close inthe continuity of details department or even in film granularity. Onehilarious example occurs when the lead actress looks through atelescope at the wildlife and notes how they are all in a hurry. Thenwe are treated to stock footage of a herd of gazelles jumping away - inslow-mo. Ha ha! We must have been shown footage of 5 or 6 differenttribes of people which were lumped together in this film to representone tribe. We even were privy to stock footage of trees which are notnative to Africa - but there they are growing on the landscape. It'spretty awkward but no-one probably noticed in 1947. That wasn't thepoint back, I suppose. This movie is here to entertain or fill time. Itdoes both.The acting is surprisingly competent enough by most although thereseemed to be an abundance of inappropriate smiling, especially by thelead actress who gets a good share of close-ups. Yeah, she's pretty.But for a woman who has lost her fiancГѓВ© to the jungle she just doesn'tseem very upset. She is simply determined to go on with the safari eventhough her feelings for her fiancГѓВ© are seriously challenged by anotherman in her party.Meanwhile, her fiancГѓВ© has fallen for the 'Amazon' queen but has decidedto be a rat and not tell anyone. Apparently he thought no-one wouldcare if he simply vanished along with the rest of his earlier safariparty.Meanwhile the Amazonians get the blame for all the mysterious deaths inthe region. They are determined to remain secret and keep theirterritory safe from outsiders - except for the one lone male which theQueen keeps for herself. Considering how awesome this tribe of whitewomen must be since they can overwhelm a safari without much problem -you never see more than 3 of the white women tribe. In fact, they putup no defense whatsoever during the eventual incursions into their campby the antagonists - except for a well-timed blowgun incident.Meanwhile the Queen says she will kill to keep her man but we can stillbe friends. Huh?? Others have noted and I will reinforce - this is nota movie to get all serious about. These are the movies I saw when I wasyoung and it is really quite lame - but still it has a charm. It triesto be fun and succeeds a few times.The ending moans and groans. But at least it's happy and doesn't setyou up for a sequel.Rainy day fodder when you are not so critical. Bring a pillow.

Queen of the Amazons and Stock Footage

Jean Preston travels with her intended father-in-law, friend WayneMonroe, and a milquetoast professor to the Middle East to find herfiancГѓВ© who disappeared when his safari was attacked. Jean's movementsare shadowed which leads to the death of a native who knows where andwhat purpose the safari was to meet. She learns he was last seen at apoint in Africa and plans to trek into the jungle with guide GaryLambert (who resents traveling with a woman in the jungle) and a cookGabby. Lambert also takes the journey since the safari was searchingfor ivory poachers and after being attacked, Wayne is mysteriouslykilled, and the safari is led off course on occasions,and Jean laterbegins to suspect someone into the troupe is sabotaging the traveler'sefforts. Eventually the safari makes its way to the village where Greg(Jean's fiancГѓВ©) is, which is an all white woman group, the onlysurvivors of a shipwreck, and Greg and Zita, chief of the Amazoniantribe, have fallen in love. Will Jean be able to cope, as well assurvive, with the safari attacks by a hostile group of natives led bythe mysterious leader? The movie started off well with nice mysteriousangles to the story, but after the 12 minute mark, it turned into everyminute of new footage is three of stock footage, which rarely matchedwhat was being filmed and served no purpose but to pad the film (andunintentionally bore the audience). The script was predictable, themystery villain was sure simple to figure, acting wooden, and has anending to make anyone groan. Rating, based on B movies, 2.
